Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Got through the whole game eventually. Great result in the circumstances. Kian Jenkins fantastic marshalling the defence. Iestyn Jones looks a fine prospect, reads the game well and shifting positions didn't phase him one bit.
Not sure what to think of Govea. As a player new to the u21s did...
Was it Julian Winter who claimed that? Very little evidence that it would have been the case, we hadn't reduced the squad much at all from the previous season.
"Less minutes" is just 18 by Whoscored's count (2278 vs 2296) which depending on stoppages in play and extra time might as well be no difference at all. Lowe has 9 goals in 2230, again a very similar rate.
We've played better with Cullen starting, which shows in the results and his 5 assists...
Some decent players in that group but in all honestly the ones with a good chance at a professional career are all on long-term contracts already. Injuries have robbed many of chances to develop and impress, but time doesn't stand still and there's always younger talent popping up behind.
Kyrell Wilson was 7. Missed the game live and have only watched the first 10 minutes. Lissah not put a foot right so far, hopefully he improves as... oh no.
Rubin at 18 was like a man against boys when he played our u23s. Not seen anything like that from Joel to date, and he turns 20 this year. From a Wales perspective I hope they all come good but there's a reason he's not seen much u21s football compared to our lads in his age group Cotterill and...
Rubin's by far the better player of the two. Joel works a lot harder but there's a significant quality gap. I've heard from a few people that they think Joel will go further but in the half dozen games I've seen of him I've seen nothing to support it.
They've given Cian Ashford starts in their last two games, great show of faith. He's no better than a handful we have in our own academy, but there's no willingness here to blood them even in games with nothing on the line.
ex-Cardiff Charlie Crew was on the bench again for Leeds as well.
Honestly apart from Paterson having his one good game a month I thought we were pretty poor. Cabango and Grimes showed up, not much else until the 80th minute when they got nervous. They were wasteful with the chances we gifted them with poor passing out from the back, had two cleared off the...
One or two being involved instead of playing the same old sub-par players week in week out could benefit us tremendously. It's never the right time though, apparently.
Lowe played well. Rest of the subs were useless. Rushworth needs a clip round the ear for his passing this season. Not improved his clanger ratio at all.
He's under no obligation to accept any new deal at all. It's perfectly reasonable to say to the club "if you want to lock me down longer than the existing 2 years then pay for the player you think I might become". Unless he goes on strike he should be considered content to play for a few hundred...
What type of behaviour are we even talking about? There's nothing wrong with rejecting an offer from an employer. He's got two years to go and is still recovering from a bad injury (an actual injury not like Wood).
Two years still to run on his current contract, no reason either side needs to compromise at this point. If he were to make the same astonishing progress this summer as he did last he'd feel pretty silly locking in a long-term wage now. Give it another half a season and everyone will have a...
Veevers was very well thought of at one stage at Man Utd, and we were apparently very surprised he was going to be available and snapped him up despite our wealth of central midfield prospects. Hasn't managed to stand out over any of them really in the games I've seen, but I think he's had his...
