• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    U21 v Burnley 1pm today at Landore

Think Tom Tweedy who scored the winner for them was the lad signed from Penybont not too long ago. Lissah has always looked a little erratic to me. Can be cool under pressure and then wasteful with time and space. Plenty of ability and a bit of pace, fingers crossed he fills out physically and...

Players know what they're worth as assets (current and future) and are fully entitled to negotiate for whatever they can get. It's only trouble if people start acting unprofessionally. Rejecting a contract offer isn't unprofessional.

We got £1m plus clauses in compensation for Iwan Morgan who hadn't signed a pro deal and got nowhere near the first team.

    Sam Parker

His stock has risen massively since signing it in August. Makes complete sense for the club to try to get him on a 3+1 deal now. That PL clubs will be looking at him is barely news, eyes are on every teenager getting Championship minutes. It's when journos name only one club that you need to...

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Huddersfield Town vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

I should turn games off more often. Didn't see any goals.

If I hadn't strained my back in the garden earlier I'd be doing anything else rather than watching this tedium.

    More investment...

People don't realise how expensive it is to put an average/poor Championship side out these days. Clubs are losing tens of millions a year to tread water.

    James McClean again

There's never a bad time to disrespect a monarchy.

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City v Rotherham United | The EFL Championship

Just remember not to get too excited. Fans were purring over our "early" transfer business last summer after all.

Football that makes you want to find a new hobby.

If a player's a bad apple then shine it up best you can and try to get a return on the investment in the summer. You're not working with schoolboys and giving out minutes for attendance and good behaviour, this is a business (also a competitive sport where talent and ability matters). Creating...

Nah. The lad did nothing, Rushworth got away with a howler.

Ronald needs a rest. Works hard bless him but not a lot of quality on show recently. Can afford to rotate the squad now, though.

Joel Cotterill scored two cracking goals yesterday.

    Our captain

Grimes gets the most stick because he gets most of the ball. Teammates look for him before looking forward. Few players offer for it or make intelligent runs (notice Ronald's movement has decreased dramatically since arriving). Grimes is the head above the parapet, far from the worst offender in...

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Middlesbrough vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

It was a dig at Walsh not a suggestion Govea should play. He made absolutely no impression on the game apart from a misplaced pass and mistimed tackle.

    Our captain

Do we have any midfielders in better form? Who do you drop him for?

The 17 year old made more of an impression than Walsh.

We looked at the side that got Blackpool relegated and thought "let's have some of that".
