• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    The Fish

Was a bit of a marquee signing by Marty Pants so I'd imagine he was given a decent contract when he signed as a first choice. Can't imagine he's agreed to stay for less, so we're potentially paying slightly over the odds for a keeper that's purely a backup and not challenging for the gloves...

    Leo Walta

Seen his reel, he seems to love a long pass, Russy Marts cultists ain't gonna like!

    Matt Grimes (not Jamie)

They may well be, but I don't think many of us were that impressed with them against us, I certainly wasn't. They will struggle big time to make the step up without some serious investment in strengthening a team only slightly better than the chasing pack. After all, teams have run away with...

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

That's what I thought. Didn't pull up any trees, I would be prepared to concede, but he came mightily close with that header. He got decent power on it, beat the keeper and was only millimetres off with his aim. If you want a striker that scores every single effort, you're simply not going to...

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

Apparently Cullen's cameo was the worst cameo of any player in history for any team even though he only got two chances and was millimetres away from getting one of them in the back of the net. Am I missing something? What do people reckon of this view posted on Twitter that received a lot of...

    Joel Ward

Yeah, he was dreadful in the first goal.

    Joel Ward

You're probably right, he did put in a decent effort to close the player down, but I guarantee if it was to happen against Key and he was for once in the right position to get tight on the attacker, he would have received pelters for not stopping the cross.

    Joel Ward

I have, it was a low cross, was picked up by Wallace just inside the box, who had three defenders between him and the goal. It was under knee height so if Fisher was to come out for it he would have had to deal with it using his feet, which beggs the question, if it was as easy for Fisher to...

    Joel Ward

Not sure many keepers would come out to deal with a low cross from the left with three defenders in front of them, who could equally have dealt with it.

    Joel Ward

If Ward deals with it an nips it in the bud, Fisher doesn't have to do anything. Chances are though that Vigaroux would have prevented both goals.

Luke Williams - Peterborough United Manager

Do well to pay off his mortgage for a house in Clifton pushing cases about the airport.

    Joel Ward

Should have done better in my opinion in stoping the cross by Bostock, but hey, it's easier to blame Fisher.

    Josh Key

Stick him in as a winger instead of Ronald

    Interesting Graham Potter Interview

When conk signed Bony back, I like may others I'm sure fooled ourselves he would pick up where he left off. Why o why, after seeing how that had gone from August to December, would anyone in their right mind go for more of the same and bring back Ayew too? Wet Spam must have struggled to believe...

    Interesting Graham Potter Interview

Ayew, signing for a relegation threatened team in January, rooted to the bottom of the table, was never going to agree to a relegation clause. Equally Bony, at the stage he was at in his career was never going to agree to a relegation clause either, he knew he had already ran his race. In both...

Celtic sack manager Nancy after eight games

Too much of a Nancy boy for Glasgow.

What are we really expecting from Matos....

I don't think anyone is really expecting the playoffs although it is by no means impossible. Had Matos been here since the start of the season, I think it would obviously be a possibility since we're only 9 points off, a couple more wins, and avoiding that slump of defeats during the handover...

    Credit Where it’s Due.

I don't think they'll remain a mid-table Championship side, they will 100% be promoted at some point. This has to be their current manager's final season, making that more possible with probably a high profile replacement coming in for next season. His football is dire, they sign the likes of...

    We're Staying Up! Championship Football!

The obvious positive is that there was a better performance on Saturday for much of the first half. The other is that the new manager has only had two or three training sessions with the team, so to expect him to change things in as short time is at best fanciful and at worst criminally insane.

    SHEEHAN SACKED

It's all pointing to a decision already being made. Not making if official until a couple of hours after Wales Online (meaning they'd tried to keep a lid on it, but Sheehan leaked it), no mention of a caretaker, waiting until Tueday to make the announcement rather than pull the plug over the...
