    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    As a person he’s a lovely guy. Why our so called “fans” were giving him stick, for working at Bristol airport and helping people, is anyone’s guess. I will watch his tenure at Peterborough with interest.

    Fabulous first half. Galbraith Franco Widell & Inoussa were superb, all moving the ball at pace. They were never going to keep that up 2nd half.     Fulton actually saved us there. He got booked because he did a “professional foul” on the guy bringing it out from the edge of their pen area, who could have counterattacked and caused us big problems.

    Why not swop our wingers during the game more often? Benson is so one footed that he would receive the ball on the right, then cut back onto his favoured left, loose momentum, then pass it backwards. The same could be said of Inoussa, who’s right footed playing on the right wing.

    And I was there ! Always remember the Valencia fans behind the goal didn’t come out initially ( I think ) for the start of the 2nd half as a protest against the owners. And after the game walking back to the city centre, with our Swans shirts on, their fans were applauding us. What a night !

    Thought Sheehan’s subs, plus trying to hold out for 20 odd minutes, cost us 2 pts, even though Vig saved us 2 pts as well. Special mention for Ethan Galbraith. He reminds me of a young Joe Allen / Leon, all rolled into one. What a classy looking player. We’ll do well to hold on to him this...
