Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
OK, that does make sense. Is there a relegation clause for banging on about Martin and Cooper or is it purely volumetric? If I post enough do I eventually become Wilf Milne?
This reminds me of a sci-fi series called Riverworld.
I wouldn’t complain about De Vries or Fabiansky either. Please God not Dai the Drop though. I am sure he was unfairly maligned at the time but I don’t think I will ever shake the idea that we would have stayed up bar for him
I’m four posts away from my 500th, which I THINK is when I graduate to being a named player rather than a First Team Player. This got me thinking - who would I want as my ‘avatar’ (not sure if that’s the correct term - sorry!) - and who would other posters choose to be if they could?
Tony...
He is improving IMO. No longer stops dead in advanced positions and looks for someone to pass back to. I think there’s merit in having a pacey winger who unsettles defences, if only because it causes a bit of chaos. Montero made a career out of it.
Meanwhile Norwich continue to climb up the table - they are actually above us on form right now (depending on how many games you count). Can see them being dark horse contenders for the play-offs before the season is out.
Can we consign the Cooper/Martin debate to the same dustbin as Blur/Oasis, Skinheads/Greasers and all the other pointless arguments that felt important at the time and now look stupid?
(The Skins/Greasers one had the added annoyance of getting you a kicking if you answered it wrong back in the...
Loving the post-match analysis from Ash and Clinton Morrison though. And to be fair, I thought the Sky commentators gave us a better hearing than most this season.
