• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Ronald needs to come off. I think Jay has been poor too - mostly negative back passes. Bad Jay.

Josh Cullen is living the dream, playing for Swansea week in and week out. According to the commentator on Sky.

Vitor Matos Named Swansea City Boss as New Era Begins at the Swansea.com Stadium

To be fair, last time I logged on the club were getting shredded on here for not having a Plan B if the Swede deal got mashed up. Sounds like they very much did. Personally, I have one major concern about this appointment, and that's the potential difficulty of singing 'Vitor Matos's Black and...

The difference a manager can make.

Fair question, but I'm currently wearing a pair of Doc Martens that caused me blisters for about three months after I bought them. Now that's I've worn them in they are superbly comfortable, and I'm really glad I stuck with them. Sometimes you just have to be patient.

That’s not exactly how I recall it. Yes, we did do a lot of long balls to the wingers, but many of them were bang on target. When we were beaten to the ball by Charlton they usually headed it away and that invariably began a round of aerial ping pong. Any thoughts on why Sheehan adopted that...

Not that I saw. Pleasant ground, pleasant bunch of fans, but I had forgotten that the bars are so small and basic. That combined with the number of away fans who seemed to be buying 12 pints every time slightly took the edge off the experience. But getting back to the game, the away support...

Yes you can buy beer or yes you know the answer? Just for clarification…

Anyone know if away fans can purchase beer at The Valley? Or is it a dry stadium like Watford? We’ve left it a bit late to go to the away-friendly pubs… On the plus side we do see Liam Cullen at a coffee shop at Canary Wharf, so that was a bonus.

Sorry, no idea (I live in London so have no need of a pub in the Paddington area). The Anchor and Hope near the ground is a good option though.

Or go Bakerloo/Jubilee to North Greenwich and get the 180 bus to The Valley. That’s another option.

Looking forward to this game. Decent ground, decent set of supporters who I’ve always found are happy to talk football with away fans. Much like Orient (and very unlike Millwall or Palace). They are only three points above us in the table as well - decent chance we can get something out of this...

They were pretty ungracious in victory last season at Carrow Road so I have zero sympathy. Not that we didn’t have a hammering from them, but for a while we tried hard and even looked like getting something when Cullen scored, but they were still pretty petty. Can’t say for sure that yesterday’s...

Well done on still living in Swansea and being able to attend home games. I was there at Southampton, I'll be there at Charlton, and I expect to be there at as many away games as possible this season and at least a few home games too. Does that make me an armchair or part-time supporter?

    Alan Sheehan.

But talking about relegation is just ridiculous.

    Alan Sheehan.

Agree with most of the above. Stamenic, Franco and Galbraith are all good players but too similar IMO. I do think Galbraith is too good to just replace Key at RB (no disrespect to RBs…) which is why I suggested trying 3 CBs, Galbraith and Tymon as WBs with licence to roam and both Vipotnik and...

Everything else was dreadful. Really? You have nothing good to say about our goalkeeper, our CBs, our willingness to fight for the ball (not every player, every time, but generally)? You make some good points, and then completely undermine them with your over the top comments.
