• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

How many more chances will he get to lead the line? Last night albeit against league two opposition was IMO the ideal opportunity to shine. The ball was driven across the box and apart from perhaps one he nearly got to. I don't recall him being too near the others. A good striker sniffs out more...

I've tried but he's my Freddie Kruger.

“Every club I’ve been at there’s a bit of pain and when you get through it it’s so worth it.” The pain lasted 2 years as I remember.

Young man dies in Swansea prison

If you look up his name with a guy called Luker Lawson. You will get a further insight why he may have been in nick. Still sad though.

Do The Squad Numbers Tell A Story Or Are They Just..... Well, Numbers?

Takes me back to the Swansea league when our manager would allocate the shirts to reflect the position you played in after someone had taken them home to get his mother to wash them. No way would he let you play the old centre forward position in any number other than number 9. 7+11 had to be...

Season 25/26 | The official Match Thread | Swansea City vs FC Lorient | Preseason Friendly | The Swansea.com Stadium | 3pm, Saturday 2nd August 2025

Is this to be just a warm up? Or are we looking to give next week's potential starting line up the green light( Barring current injuries of course). It has to be the latter Surely.

    Ben Lloyd

Playing for Newport tonight. County 1 up. What a strike that was. Not Ben by the way.

    Swans to confirm McBurnie signing

    Perfectly summed up.

    Swans to confirm McBurnie signing

If he sign's he's a proven goalscorer at this level. For the underwhelmed who were you expecting us to sign? What's out there we could get without it being a gamble? All signings IMO are a gamble because the amount of players we have signed over recent seasons for every success there are...

The Edingburgh Fringe is on up there in three weeks. He could be star attraction with his spiel. Well he makes me laugh.

    Seasons expectations

I wouldn't class it so much as expectation more of hope. We look as though we have strengthened but bar a couple of other clubs so has everyone else. I would take top half anything better would be a bonus IMO.

    Snoooooooop Dogg

I'm a little out of touch with his music. Not really my era. Must give him something back. Has he released his ''greatest hits'' yet. I remember the one about the ''red baron'' but can't recall anything else.

    Ginnelly

Let's be honest with his injury track record. Who would want him on their books even for free? Staying here will probably be his last decent years pay.

    Russell Martin

He'll be adored up there. If he gets Rangers in the top 6 when the league splits up. He can then do the double double in his first season. Mirror Mirror on the wall🥰

The Best 5 Strikers in Swansea City History

The guys who wrote this is just a generational thing. As mentioned Latch,Curt, Ivor big Dai G. I'd also add Herbie(ooh ooh) Wiliiams to that who they've probably never heard of. Well thats my early generation anyway.

    Japan v Wales

I remember the days when I couldn't miss a Wales Int match. Sadly I didn't even realise they were playing today.

    Woodman to the kop!

In fairness to him. He was released by Preston. Where does he go? Anyone else in for him? It's either dropping down the divisions or banking some cash.
