Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Progress for me will be a comfortable place in the top ten, where through continued, positive recruitment we can build the squad into a more formidable outfit. Having said that should we end the season in a Play Off place this season, naturally we would take it over two legs and on the day it...
The position of striker can be seen as the most difficult position in a team to obtain especially when finance is limited and almost every club is looking through the same data sheets, while as the window begins to close down the transfer fee, even for a loan player, begins to start rising.
To...
No doubt about the fact that we are on the verge of having a team that will possess the intensity to compete for the full duration of a game. Add a goalscoring striker to the squad and cover for our full backs plus the Forest midfielder's signing being announced and we should have our strongest...
I find it totally unacceptable, especially with the cash involved in the Premier League that the fourth official in last night's Liverpool match was the same guy (Farai Hallam) who refereed the Boro v Swans match in what was his second season of refereeing in the EFL Championship level.
Talk...
In all honesty it was even worse in 1985 when the club was closed down only to get a reprieve and rise from the ashes. The day the gates were locked, saw fans scramble down to the Vetch Field to ask each other what on earth is happening. It truly felt like a loved one had passed away.
The former Aberystwyth Youth product made a substitute appearance for Swans U18’s in a pre-season friendly against Briton Ferry Llansawel U18’s at Llandarcy on 15/7/2023 replacing Pescatore and made his debut in the PDL for the Swans U18's v Birmingham City U18’s at Landore on 23/3/2024...
the same Reina made some fantastic saves in the second leg at Napoli. Taking heed of the problems Arsenal fans faced at Napoli in being taken to the stadium in buses we went independently to the stadium, saw no trouble and enjoyed a lovely pizza and red wine after the game in a restaurant...
the bottom line is that our owners (K&L) pooped themselves and kept stoking the fire sale despite the likes of Jordan Ayew and Fernandez playing in friendly games.
What I liked about Iestyn was his ability on 2/3 occasions to drive forward in an attempt to open the opposition up instead of the safety first square pass. Still only 18 he lad is rated highly by mates who was watch the academy games regularly.
Gordon Jenkins was a real gent who loved his...
Swans academy Head of recruitment Paul Compton(He was Head of the Swans CoE and was one of the staff that were sacked by Tony Petty in 2002) has left the academy at Landore.
Surprisingly Ben played most of the game in an unfamiliar central midfield role against the EFL newcomers Barnet and although County were under pressure for most of the game Ben showed some neat touches, didn't shy away from the physical challenges, displayed good fitness levels and scored...
Take a look back at his performances prior to his move to Sheffield United, and for me, if he can replicate that he will do ok for us. Not that long married, will he turn out to be a more mature person, only time will tell.
Anywhere inside the top ten, continue to grow, add new, well thought out recruits in the January and next summer's windows. There is no other way our club can exist.
Has anybody got any news about the friendly today at Fairwood between a Swans X1 and Barnsley. A game mentioned by Sheehan in his after match video at Cheltenham. With the first team travelling to Exeter today ahead of tomorrow's friendly, the X1 will be made up of players left behind and U21's.
Cabango, Cullen, Ollie Cooper might not have reached the qualities of the players you have quoted but they are still recruits from an academy to regular first team duty that had its budget decreased post PL relegation, let alone a large raft of staff leaving.
