• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Alan Sheehan on Cheltenham | Reaction

Last night showed how much we are lacking strength in depth regarding defenders, and as much as it was a good workout for Dabrowski, the two Parkers and Iestyn Jones, their goal must be to get raw experience out on loan. As for Congreve and Cotterill, I expected far more after their season...

    Kiel Higginson

Kiel Higginson is a former Swans scholar who was released from the Swans academy in May 2025. 🎓 Success Story – Congratulations, Kiel Higginson! ⚽️ Everyone at Swansea City Academy is incredibly proud of Kiel Higginson, one of last year’s scholars, who has accepted a scholarship to study and...

Ospreys sign on the swansea.com stadium

No doubt via the same avenue that will be paying for the restructuring of St. Helens. No doubt they could lose many of their high earners but provided they can continue with their academy and rebuild slowly.

Ospreys sign on the swansea.com stadium

Its not that many years ago(2000-2001), before the current Regions were formed, that the All Whites dropped out of what was then a South Wales League to play friendly games against all of the top English rugby clubs and I would imagine they would be welcomed with open arms should they apply to...

The Jack Army Roars: A New Dawn at Swansea City

Excellent article but its a steady as you go approach from me there are still a few chinks in our armour, but if I come away as I did after a 2-1 defeat at Oldham under Roberto in August 2007 with the same feeling of excitement then we will be ok for what is going to be a tough, relentless...

    MG cup

Govea came off injured around 85 minutes and from what I have been told by those that regularly watch academy matches the lad is going sideways. Towards the end of last season I went to watch the U21's at Colchester and came away very disappointed with his performance.

    Kit release?

For those that are in the know how popular is the brand of coffee in the Swansea area to warrant front of shirt prime sponsorship. I appreciate people have their favourite be it Costa or Starbucks, apart from inside the stadium is the company that large that would warrant prime sponsorship, or...

    U21 v Trefelin

Two trialists - ex-Brentford keeper Evan Anderson and ex-Stoke striker Luke Enright. Shaun MacDonald captained Trefelin BGC. Trundle came on in second half.

Ben Lloyd going out on loan?

Ben's contract runs until the end of the season but what we don't know is if the Swans have an option. I havn't come across the idea that a player is named as a trialist before the club announce the fact he has gone, and possibly there's a reason for it - cash is tight at Cheltenham or they...

Swans Emerge from Summer Slumber: Pre-Season Hopes and Tactical Teases

A number of players will be looking to see if they can impress Sheehan and O'Dea - Congreve and Cotterill are jst two examples, while one wonders if a loan until the January window re-opens would be the best option for the likes of Lissah and Wilson when one considers how long they spent on the...

The £10,000 Maestro: Angel Rangel's Swansea City Legacy

Talk about people having the midas touch then Kevin Reeves is a perfect example during his relatively short time scouting for the Swans during the Martinez management era let alone the low cost of airline tickets back and for to European destinations courtesy of his wife's employment with a...

Swansea City Have Parted Ways with Head Coach Luke Williams

Should it turn out that the photo of LW at Bristol airport is not a generated AI photo I will take my hat off to him. I don't think there have been many ex-footballers or head coaches who would have placed himself in the public domain. Best of luck Luke hope you get back in the game stronger and...

    Feel good factor..

Far too early to get excited there have been too many false dawns since the K & L takeover, but for me its all about green shoots and take it from there. Quite refreshing to see recruits signed earlier than normal and also in offloading the Ukraine striker and TJ, all be it at a slight financial...

Swansea City: Navigating the Championship's Treacherous Waters in 2025/26

I dare say we have all come across bots when dealing with companies on the net especially those more subtle companies who go to the enth degree to hide contact telephone numbers that enable one to actually talk to a human being. As I approach my mid-septuagenerian birthday I now know how my dad...

    Dribbling

When I see a wide player possessing the ability that Leighton James had of crossing accurately whilst on the run will I believe that particular skill has returned to the game.
