    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    Cheers for that. Definitely going to give them a go. The mark up in opticians must be big but I guess they have overheads to cover so I get it. But theyve had enough of my money over the decades so I wont feel too guilty.

    Would I be opening a can of worms if I asked why isnt the Independant an obvious alternative which I will probably join when transfer window opens? I can see names I recognise on both forums. Or maybe a Facebook private group? I appreciate some people have reservations about that platform though.

    I agree it will be a shame to lose the forum. This is obviously - well to a technophobe like me- quite a sophisticated set up with adverts etc. Seems there are plenty of more basic options if you Google 'Free Messageboards" if someone wanted to set something up without bells and whistles.

    I read this earlier and it took me back to his pre and post match interviews and I won't lie, the guy motivated me. I would reach for the remote as soon as he appeared on the screen and take the dog for a walk. Did wonders for my beer belly. I owe him a lot.
