Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
The point about falling apart is very true. I was shocked at how quickly it went belly up under Sheehan. Best not to be too confident I suppose, although I feel a lot happier than a month ago.
Good point, I don’t want to temp fate! We’ve had our meltdown early this season and seem to be over it. This time last year we still had falling apart at the end of Williams’ time to ‘look forward’ to. We won’t be doing that again I hope, so it’s mostly up or at worst level from now on. We’re...
Oh yeah, we’re fine now. 12 points from 6 games in December has transformed our season. I doubt we’ll keep this up but we are showing enough for relegation to not be a worry any more.
Nice. Oxford were shocking and we should have put that to bed earlier, but I never felt we were going to concede. Nice one lads.
Fair play to Vitor, he seems to have turned the mess around.
I wish he’d move the ball a bit quicker as he has a tendency to hang on to it for far too long. But he’s the only one who can consistently beat a man. He’s by some distance our best winger (although that’s not hard - not one of these could match Dyer, let alone Sinclair).
Annoying isn’t it. And far from the first time this season. I know you need to be clever at times, but if you give up a clear crossing chance to try and cheat then you can fack off out of our club as far as I’m concerned.
God knows why these celebs are all jumping on the bandwagon. A tax dodge doesn’t make sense. Wouldn’t they have to incur larger losses than any offset savings they’d make? Maybe it’s just a trend for these sorts of people. I wish they’d fack off; I hate the circus they bring to our great game.
Yeah, it doesn’t matter how tidy we look between the boxes. Games aren’t won or lost there. And unless you’re solid as a rock (e.g. Burnley last year), you have to be able to score freely to challenge at the top.
We’ve got a platform to build on, so that’s something at least.
I’m not watching today, but it sounds like the same old. We need some better players at the top end of the pitch. It’s a shame it sounds like we’re not actively looking to address that this window.
We def need more imo. More quality is needed. But even if we hope Matos can improve current players, we’ve only got Casey to cover the centre backs and also only another kid on loan to cover LB. No RB cover, as you say. No RW cover if we’re not using Benson. We can’t even give most of our...
Great post. The summer transfer window proves your point perfectly; a lot of people getting really excited just because we actually spent some serious money on a few players for once ( ~£7m), Inoussa (c. £5m) and Widell (c. £4m in the Jan before). All could be very good for us eventually, but...
I don’t understand it. The Welsh flags obviously make sense, but I can’t remember the last time The Unionists qualified for an international tournament. It seems like an unnecessary load of political bollocks to me.
