Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Not true though is it. Eom was one on one with a keeper and slipped, Vipi and a strike from inside the box to score, Ronald hit the post from inside the box. All were clear cut chances.
They only had their one chance they scored from.
Idah is 6’4 he should offer us better defensive utility if they start looking for set pieces and and lumping balls into our box. Don’t mind that sub considering how late it is and we are ahead.
Yes I class him as someone who has been very good, great energy, good progressive running through the middle. He’s started half our games and affected them positively in the main. I like him a lot.
We only play 1 up front and Vipotnik has been one of the form strikers in the league. No doubt Idah will be a regular starter but he isn’t yet.
Yalcouye tends to start every other game, he’s 19 and not accustomed to English football yet so not one that is going to be playing Sat-midweek-Sat...
I’d probably make the point that last season was an over performance, not one that was realistically sustainable. Barring late runs in seasons we have been hovering around 14th-17th for years now. A bit like Russell when we went on a run of 9/10 games at the end of his tenure. This season was...
It’s not an argument, just the situation. All managers will have to show progress at any club. It depends what your threshold of review is, which I would guess is a sliding scale based on the influx of change. 29 players I believe the turnover number was, that’s not just an on field conundrum...
I’d be very sure that our ownership have long term plans, that includes the time to be bedding in players. The league is very different to recent years and we have teams in there that are worth about £200m. £15m spend in a single window is peanuts comparison to other teams in the league and what...
That would be assuming your expectations align with the ownerships (immediate success from game 1). If this is a long term project then I would imagine a certain timeframe for bedding in the new players was already accounted for and expected as part of that plan.
It’s not clicking yet, agree with you, but these things do take time. Put a first time manager in charge of a load of new players will take time to settle.
Same as all the other real fans, want us to do better but understand it’s a process. What I won’t be doing is intentionally being negative hoping we lose. I’m noticing that a lot.
Don't get that. I’m saying the process was explained a few months back. Your version of how we recruit doesn’t appear accurate. Unless you know something I don’t?
Stick. Far too early to be making any changes yet. This season was always going to be one of integration. Not to say progress shouldn’t be monitored though, but would be very knee jerk now. It’s October.
