• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Personally I believe he’s a far more accomplished player than VIP, be great if Vip stays but I genuinely believe that Idah is a more than adequate replacement. Vip could quite easily have had half a dozen more goals, the cut back today in the first half , Coventry and Wrexham come to mind, would...

The season we got relegated from the first division, we were tipped by the pundits to go back up, watching today’s game reminded me of that period and our similarities to Leicester, amazing how football fortunes can change so quickly.

    Just not seeing it.

Ok so last night I asked for the sensible people on here to give me their opinions on yesterday’s performance. Not really going to go over the game again but I simply don’t see the levels of improvement that some of you seem to be seeing. Let’s be honest Vitor didn’t have to nudge the needle...

    Oooooh

Looking at our remaining fixtures I might have been a bit premature by saying we’re safe. Real test for Matos and the team, some real tough away games and apart from Charlton all the other fixtures at home look a real challenge, interesting times me thinks.

    Colours Nailed and all that

I was not convinced by the appointment of Matos but barring a total disaster he’s earned us enough points to stay up this season, that said, you have to say we’re pretty much a one dimensional team under his stewardship. In my opinion you’re starting to see the limitations of the pressing game...

    Marcelo Bielsa/ Vitor Matos

Very similar in their approaches in my opinion, style of football got Leeds promoted but at a cost, if we are to persevere with the current high octane approach then we will need the football equivalent of Rugby’s bomb squad. Sixty minutes of high intensity football and then key players being...

    First Touch

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Galbraiths touch and control before laying the ball off for Tymon to cross for Vips goal was superb. Rolls Royce of a player although some on here reckons he’s more of a Morris Minor ….clowns.

    Credit Where it’s Due.

Club did a fantastic job last night, they come in for a lot of criticism at times but last nights build up was pure theatre. Like it or not but it’s all about the “ product “ these days , nearly 21k and a win ….job done👍

    Bazball football

Firstly I’m delighted with the win yesterday it was badly needed and hopefully we can follow it up with another one on Tuesday. At the moment I can’t help but draw comparisons to the way we’re trying to play and the England cricket side. Even at two nil yesterday we didn’t look comfortable or...

The difference a manager can make.

Stating the obvious I know but all this focus on the players not being good enough is total nonsense in my opinion. At the end of the window the vast majority of fans were delighted with the recruitment and were understandably optimistic about the season ahead, I’ve seen nothing in any of our...

Haven’t seen any posts lately regarding the ownership of the club, a comfortable end to the season, a few signings and like I said…just like all the rest.

    Where are they?

Where are our talented youngsters and if we have any how are they being coached to play. As I posted in the yesterday’s match day thread it was depressing to see Sam Parker receive the ball in acres of space only for him to immediately play the ball back. If this is the DNA running through the...
