• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    The Ashes 2025/26

In my opinion, the tactical approach results from an inability to critically think. Great that we are attacking relentlessly, but the key to the game is to do to the opposition the thing that they least want. Classic example was Starc batting out time and keeping in them in the field, so that...

Lots to digest and lots of improvements- 2 questions What does it say when you bring off uour striker and opt to play without one instead of Idah? What the hell has happened to Cullen? AlwYs been streaky - but he looks shocking right now - at home on the international stage but out of his depth...

Oxfords last 3 games (before today) were a draw V Boro, a draw v Norwich and a victory over Ipswich. They are not the cream of the division - but they are quite hard to beat. In fact they have only been beaten by 2 goals (never more) in 3 games this Championship season including today!

Aren't we allowed to have nice things? With that ref totally bending us over the bins and a hard to beat tough and aggressive opponent... I thought we were very good value! Go on give us a grin you miserable bugger!

Are you suggesting we create chances from set pieces? This is the Swans mate - today was the FIRST goal of the season from a set piece,

Yes-we have been playing like a team short of confidence and esperience in deling with pressure. Green shoots today - not just the win, but some key steps forward - here are a few Different set pieces causing problems Winning the ball back higher up the pitch Playing with a RB instead of a...

We have players that can press effectively, and through errm illness? we have removed a clear liability that Oxford would have been looking to exploit. Cautiously optimistic - but these next 2 games are cup finals and should be attacked accordingly!

    New manager assistants

What is needed here - and I thought we had made progress in this area - is transparent communications. Fans need to be told what the delay is - what the likely outcome is - and what the plan B is. Poison spreads on sites ike this in the absence of clarity.

    NFL 2025

I was at the game - and despite the stadium bouncing the team are flat. Unfortunately weak in both trenches does not allow you to win. Add in a resurgent Bears - it is gloom time in Detroit.

    Idah

I really think our front 3 need to be sent out to play a 60 minute game - run your arses off and close down like a cup final. When you are blowing through your arse you will be subbed. Any soft trotting or jogging and your career here in Swansea will be very short.

Disgrace! Club and Players - We Are Going Down!!

Great post - i would have made almost exactly the same posts, only less eloquently. The only thing i would add is that he has to find a way of pressing and winning back possession with a bunch of attacking show ponies. Widell and Ronald are the hardest working - Eom And Innoussa the more...

Vitor Matos on West Bromwich Albion | Reaction

Steady guys - a time to get behind the team and have nerves of steel. VM had ONE day on the training ground between Tuesday and Friday travel, and we saw a better starting XI and a much better , more positive approach. It only lasted 20-30 minutes - but he now has a complete week to work with...

If you can’t support us when we lose or draw don’t support us when we win.

EXACTLY this - as a fan I want us to be 100% effort and balls to the wall trying to score goals and win. If it ends in a defeat - so be it. Encouragingly the interviews from Matos could not be more "on message" I really believe he gets it - at least I am praying he does.

I don't think we have really got to the bottom of what we have with Widell - certainly not seen enough of him to decide his best position. Bringing Benson Fromm the bench in place of Innoussa and Windell has made zero sense to me!

I would pick a midfield 3 of Franco Stamenic and Galbraith - so good - we need to see real aggressive attacking from the front 3. Way better line up than Tuesday - i think VM gets it🙏
