• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Champs and chumps? Champs Idah -his goals to minutes shows us a future post Vip. He has a bit of pace too. Walta - as above -apart from the wonder goal- he is always looking for the killer ball Woodward- did not look out of place, and got an assist in roughly 2% of the minutes it takes Ronald to...

In style and build he reminds me a bit of Bob Latchford - who had a purple patch career.

See below for an objective analysis. Even in "nice old'' Canada - cities are less safe, and I am just across the river from Detroit (compare that wonderful City with London for violent crime) There is a cognitive dissonance between facts and perception - highlighted in this thread - so I think...

Sell VP For 20M (No Less)

I feel a bit sorry for Idah - he has had minutes recently- and the minute Vip replaces him we get a raft of penalties

Just noticed that Ronalds team sheet picture is live footage of him trying to cross the ball🥴

    Steve Brown DoF?

I am not sure that it matters which country players come from as much as the age profile. Young british players also take time to get used to the toughest league in world football. Further - I am not for signing older players just so they hit the ground running. Our model (as currently...

    Sam Parker

I would LOVE to see this - because Burgess constantly coughing up possession is really starting to boil my piss. However, in championship football you must have someone with a breeze block for a head in the team to defend set pieces. Not seen Lissah for a while - but he would have to have...

Special mention tonight for Jay Fulton. Whatever Matos has done with him - he is playing some of the best football of his career.

    Season 26/27

We have a LOT of players that are new to the division and/or not yet at their prime. I expect a lot of improvement in this squad from players like Parker Galbraith Walta Innoussa Widdel Idah even Stamenic Vipotnik Ronald. Some investment in productive wide players - and we can look forward to a...

    Ok, I'll say it.

What do we have next season with Walta Innoussa Idah and Widdel? I expect that group to take a leap forward - and (if they do) we really could become both exciting to watch and hard to play against.

    Sam Parker

Interesting 3 options Key - experienced in house but flakey Parker - young and athletic/quick whyo has patiently been pushing the broom around the academy Lissah - a very talented young player who lacks physicality for a championship CB but might add class to the first team. Took the bold...

    Our centre backs

It would help if Burgess didn’t wake up believing he is the love child of Bobby Moore and Beckenbauer. He constantly ignores simple high % passes for impossible 50 yard glory passes which immediately cough up possession. I have become increasingly frustrated. Problem is we have no options and he...

Watching the pre match presser with Vitor - I fucking love this guy. Watch his top of the head analysis when asked about the threat posed by the Saints. VERY specific and analytical - he fills me full of confidence that we have a coach who knows what he is doing. I was gutted when Hellberg...

    Zan Vipotnik

Imagine how many he would have scored with a semi competent winger. Tymon's delivery is top class, Eom hit and miss- Ronald absolutely diabolical. Vip has shown the ability to score goals on scraps - If we cashin on Vip we absolutely need attackers who are capable of creating chances for Idah...

    Zan Vipotnik

Forget the goals for a minute -is it just me or has the quality of Vip's hold up play and first time lay-offs also improved dramatically just lately? That Leicester goal showed a different dimension to his game as well.I think we should be looking for 20 million plus - at his age and with a long...

Apart from his pace (impressive) he was very hard to knock off the ball too. I am used to seeing our wide players falling over when they open the doors at the back of the stand.

    Just not seeing it.

Hmm - there is a flaw in your thinking. Under Matos we have won 11 times and drawn 5 times in 26 games (equates to roughly 1.46 points per game). Extrapolated over a 46 game season this would be roughly 67 points. Last season we finished on 61. I think this is a very fair evaluation of this...

    Just not seeing it.

What I see with Matos is the evolution to a style that we only partially have the players to execute. High energy and high press is designed to win the ball back asap and ideally in advanced positions. When we have the ball the plan is to counter attack with pace when we transition from winning...
