• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Weirdly VP looks better with the press than Idah! Idah sort of trots around at 15% and doesn’t look like he believes he’s got a chance of putting a challenge in…very odd

It can’t be paranoia if the refs are genuinely out to get us. It’s crazy how one sided these decisions are. Dont know how he can keep a straight face

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

Oh god....this line from that interview of his doesn't bode well!! "You have good coaches, you have Eddie Howe, who just won the Carabao Cup, you have Brendan Rodgers, you have Russell Martin, a new upcoming coach with a completely different approach than the traditional English way of seeing...

I think he holds the ball up quite well and does lay it off but he hardly ever has any midfielder running past him to give it to.

The worse thing is the players have been working hard, it doesn’t look like they have downed tools it’s just bad tactics and ineptitude…

Yeah it’s kind of odd that playing Tymon as a wingback actually makes him less effective. I guess he has more space to cross coming from a deeper position. As he is our only creative outlet, I think we have to go back to a 4-5-1 🤷‍♂️

    Key

Could Ronald play as a more attacking version of Key in that wing back role? I’d like to see it given a go tbh

Alan Sheehan on Ipswich | Press Conference

Single rule change for me: VAR is installed at this level BUT can only be accessed on the say so of the team’s managers and they only get ONE chance to “play” that card throughout the match. (Bit like in tennis) If the ref agrees that he got the decision wrong then that chip resets, if not then...

Much better last 10mins. I do wonder how a team setup to play with width are SO bad at crossing?! It’s not that hard a skill and yet we never seem to beat the first man 😮

Is that something that can be improved through intensive coaching though? They’re all quite young so I’m hopeful, but feel we desperately need a top quality attacking coach.

Wouldn’t it be nice if an away match at Charlton created the same work rate and attitude as a home match to Man City?! The difference in attitude is astounding

Vig’s distribution hasn’t been great today but fair play - what a save!

Yeah, starting to feel a bit like positive performances and results are in spite of management decisions rather than thanks to them….not great. Still, would be very happy to celebrate 3 points against all my Norwich mates. 🙏

I actually quite like him. He’s great at finding space and surprisingly good in the air…ironically that just highlights the fact he rarely does anything - as he frequently finds himself in those good positions! 🤦‍♂️ If we can find a way of coaching his final ball/decisions then he can be a good...

Bit more to it than that, but I see what you’re saying lol The front line have given it much more of a go, people are moaning at Ronald and Key but they’ve actually taken players on down that right hand side.
