• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Watching the Mighty Swans in Swansea

Thanks for the invite Swansjaxs, although It looks as though a friend of mine is going to be dragging me up to Gorseinon to watch it there as it turns out. The idea was to watch it close to where I live in the centre of Swansea, but he’s suggested taking it the atmosphere of a local nearer to...

Watching the Mighty Swans in Swansea

Seeing as my chances of seeing the Swans in the flesh at Wrexham is pretty slim, and The Swansea Jack is full to capacity during the match, I was wondering if anyone can think of a few watering holes in and around the city centre that will more than likely be showing the game? I don’t normally...

    Jack Army Membership

Thank you for your opinion on what I am, or not missing, as the case may be. Did you take advantage of any of the other perks that they offer their members? Their advertisement for membership doesn’t seem to go into much detail about what’s involved with those that I can see.

    Jack Army Membership

Just a quick question about the JAM, which I’m hoping can be answered by anyone who is signed up for one. Basically, all that I’d like to find out about it is, based on the perks you get, is there any value to becoming a member?

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Portsmouth 1 Swansea 2 | Att: 18,508 (536 Jacks) | 10.03.26 | The EFL Championship | Fratton Park

In the 2nd half our lot looked unrecognisable compared to what they achieved in the 1st, which was sublime it has to be said. Still, I’m overjoyed and thankful with the win, although I’ll be keeping my powder dry, on the prospect of celebrating getting into the playoffs this time, as every time...

    US and Iran

Where have you heard this from out of interest? It’s a huge concern to everyone as to what happens next with this latest Governmental attack on another country and its population. If true, this will be the start of an energy crisis that will hit hard, and not just with the UK.

Ever since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there’s been an uncomfortable uneasiness that has gnawed away in the consciousness. The Hamas attacks on Israeli citizens and Israel’s subsequent response against Palestinian civilians and their homes, increased this uneasy feeling even more. The...

I agree about their respective skills being timeless and transferable.

    Fire Sticks - Wales Targeted

For a second there I had an image in my head of protesting Welsh fans with burning torches having a go at the Wales team and Craig Bellamy.

6 Clubs in the Play-Offs from Next Season 2026/27

I’m supposing that, with the Toshack vs Rogers debate, the type of pitch and type of ball would have had a bearing on things. The heavier, meatier ball of the 70’s/80’s era would pose a problem for Brendan’s team, as would the pitches of the time for the most part. However, in the modern day...

6 Clubs in the Play-Offs from Next Season 2026/27

I’ve been musing on this, and I feel that my radical idea could well give the sport we love a shot in the arm. How about a revamped Promotion/Relegation model, which shakes and freshens up the whole footballing pyramid top to bottom? For a start, I would scrap automatic promotion for the team...

Joe Allen, Leon Britton and Luka Modric. All giants of the game in their own little way.

That the problem with a typed conversation on a forum or texting in general unfortunately. Even with emojis included, it can still sometimes look and feel like something that it wasn’t intended to be.

Wrexham (Away) 8pm, Friday 13th March - Now Sold Out!

Ok, where to begin. For a start, I am not a plastic Wrexham fan who has been taken in by Welcome to Wrexham on Disney. I was, and still am a fan of Ryan Reynolds and his output in the entertainment industry. That’s what made me so curious about the trials and tribulations of a down in the...

    US and Iran

I would say that going to war is one of the most highly emotional and irrational acts that you can take, and it usually involves male decision making for it to happen. Current societies and cultures are, by and large Patriarchal, so the Matriarchal mindset doesn’t get much of a look in...

Wrexham (Away) 8pm, Friday 13th March - Now Sold Out!

My determination to go there this season, quite apart from wanting to support and cheer on my home team, is to experience a moment in history in football. The way things are looking in the table, they could well be promoted this season, so the chance to see them play us before they achieve an...
