• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    Our centre backs

Perhaps it would help if they didn’t have the most possession in the team and just concentrated on defending. Wood looked outstanding today.

Parker and Eom bossed the right hand side until the switch, Widdel was superb, as were Franco and Tymon. Wish Yalcoue had started. Downes incident on our side of the pitch, right in front of the ref and linesman, never been so sure of anything in my life that he was gone. Once again though...

He’s been my number 1 target since the January window. Opposition fans rave about him.

Hopefully we don’t need to sell either. I’m going to end up in Cefn Coed saying this but 2, pacy and aggressive wingers and the top 6 is there for the taking. The goal today is a perfect example of what we should be aiming for - driving forward, at pace, in numbers and with intent! That’s why...

As much as I like Vip, if it was a choice between him and Galbraith I’d have to keep EG. We have Idah as an ideal replacement. Galbraith is the only midfielder we have who’s positive on the ball. I felt he was controlling some games from the right back position.

I was earwigging a conversation re some of the teams we play, bringing back players who’ve gone out to Non-League teams on youth loans, to play us. Not sure if I heard correctly.

I can remember me and you arguing the case that there was potential there and he could lead the line this season. I don’t recall many agreeing.

    Just not seeing it.

This is what’s frustrating me. I don’t think Boro or Coventry were that much better than us - just far, far more positive when on the ball. When Boro won the ball yesterday, it hardly ever made its way back to the centre half or keeper. Franco kept the ball in and was just outside their box, guy...

I’m an optimist but I was fuming watching that. We cannot go into another season being so weak out wide. We try to make out that we’re a possession based team but when we have nowhere to go (which is f*cking always), we go backwards and then lump it forward. Credit to Vig, Burgess, Tymon...

Nathan Wood looking very good against Arsenal. Seems like only yesterday he was getting similar criticism as Burgess.

We just aren’t designed to attack. Duff, Williams, Sheehan and I’m worried Matos is falling into this gang. 3-0 down and we had nothing. We are so poor out wide, it’s gone beyond embarrassing. Fair play to Coventry and Grimes, I don’t think they really got out of first gear.

Sign some more big money lads from the Swedish league who aren’t ready for championship football.

Sheehan-esque We’ve been in their box about 4 times this half and we’re chasing a goal.
