• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

It’s not like the three relegated teams are running away with the league. Other teams manage to compete with them just fine - Southampton started the day below us.

I thought we played quite well overall in the last two away games despite the results, but this is crap isn’t it. We look like we have absolutely no idea whatsoever how we’re going to create a chance. I guess the plan is we just hope Vip gets a sniff of a chance anywhere within 30 yards of goal.

This ref loves a card doesn’t he? We’re definitely getting stuck in but need to be smarter than this. Four yellow already!

I don’t think we miss Darling defensively at all but he was a lot better than Burgess at bringing the ball out from the back.

    So We're Stuck With Sheehan?

The collapse was pretty spectacular. At this point last season we hadn't conceded more than a single goal in any game. And then January came and we conceded 4 at Portsmouth, 3 at Cardiff & 5 at Norwich, as well as another 3 at Southampton in the cup. I found that hard to believe but it's...

The difference a manager can make.

Other than the two Cooper seasons we've finished 10th, 15th, 10th, 14th and 11th since we were relegated, and we're now 17th this season. The idea that no player from the teams currently in 4th & 6th would get into our team is absoluately laughable.

We played pretty well overall on Saturday and tonight against two teams currently in the top 6. Goals and chances created definitely need improvement still but we look like a fairly uninspiring lower mid table team to me. People have their expectations up because of the window and while the...

    Our League form

Martin was very lucky not to get sacked for that terrible run from November to February, but it wasn’t quite as bad as no wins in 20 - we did win three of them and pick up 16 points. He likely saved himself by having a good start to the season to fall back and then picking up a couple of wins...

    Our League form

We have very similar records, although we’ve actually scored a few more goals this season than we had at this stage last year. I feel like there’s a perception that we have a better squad this season so maybe that’s why people are being a bit harsher with Sheehan. That’s if they actually are...

Are we doing OK or underachieving?

    ChatGPT is hallucinating. 1st tier - 9 seasons (1981-1983 / 2011-2018) 2nd tier - 45 seasons (1925-1947* / 1949-1965 / 1979-1981 / 1983-1984 / 2008-2011 / 2018-2026) 3rd tier - 27 seasons (1920-1925** / 1947-1949** / 1965-1967 / 1970-1973 / 1978-1979 / 1984-1986 / 1988-1996 / 2000-2001 /...

Misses the blatant red card after 20 seconds but manages to spot any kind of touch on their players. Cheers ref, great job.

Only a few weeks until we play Bristol City and I haven’t seen any ticket news still.

    Coventry Boxing Day

I understand why they want Boxing Day to be a top category game but we really should have a capped price for away fans. I’m sure when we were in the Prem they were £30 max for a few season between clubs that agreed to it. £45 is taking the piss.

Depends what the offence is. Violent conduct like Yalcouye's one is three matches yes. DOSGO is just one match, although much rarer these days since they did away with the red card for attempting to play the ball and giving away a penalty.

    Sheehan On Borrowed Time?

To be fair to Luke Williams, we didn't lose by more than 1 goal last season until January 1st. We completely fell apart after that, but up until then we were doing fine.
