• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

    JackArmy.net - Twenty-Five Years And Out

I'm already missing this site and we're still three weeks away from it's death. Is there anything going on behind the scenes? Anyone speaking to Phil about what can and can't be done?

Germany To Be Ruled By France

There are plenty of examples of independent countries with populations smaller than Wales. Luxembourg have less than 700,000, for example.

    stockport

That was hilarious. Why did the striker suddenly crumple to the ground unchallenged when he was through on goal?

    The playoffs.

And a Keystone Cops goal at the end. Unfeckingbelievable, Jeff.

    The playoffs.

If you wonder how Scumdiff got promoted, have a look at the crap on display in Stevenage v Stockport.

    The playoffs.

Very entertaining 0-0 draw. Saints have got to be favourites now. A shout out for the ref, too, Farai Hallam. After seeing so many duds in the Championship this season, I thought he was outstanding.

    The playoffs.

It's all Boro so far, Saints have hardly crossed the halfway line.

    The playoffs.

Not sure who I want to win this one. Don't like Downes and Wood, but don't like Hellboy for spurning us either (though I'm now glad he did!). I suppose it comes down to, who do we want rid of for next season? Saints, I suppose.

    What are Reform policies

WELL DONE, SCOTLAND! A big "get tae f*ck" for the frog faced twat!

    What are Reform policies

Of course I am. No country is immune from the fascist resurgence across Europe. Fortunately, there are many good people fighting against them here in Spain.

    What are Reform policies

Spot on Prof. How can anyone vote for and support a man who, in his late teens, used to taunt his Jewish schoolmates with Nazi tropes and tell black schoolmates to go back where they came from. My grandparents' generation fought and defeated fascism, and now a swathe of the Bitish electorate is...

Players we've hated but perhaps admired as well.

Robbie Savage. Not for his (meagre) football skills, but for the way he used to try to wind up the East Stand faithful pre match, by coming over and pretending to warm up, touching his toes with his back to the crowd, but really sticking his arse out and saying "kiss that" 😉

    25 Years of match memories

Yes, that was a memorable day out.

    Oops

As Ringwood said, there's a railway station right there. People need to park in the next town and take the train in, it's not rocket science. Reminds me of the Hereford Jacks, when we played WBA away, we always used to rock up in Kiddy, have a meal and a few pints in the Station Tavern there...

    The World Cup

I love the World Cup, but this one has got the twin evil shadows of Infantino and Trump lurking over it. What a pair of great stinking turds.

    Marks and Spencer's

I was in there on Friday afternoon about 3.30pm, having just flown in to Cardiff for the match, and settled down for a pint while I waited for my brother to finish work, he lives just up the road. The place was heaving with drinkers and I'm told that is the normal state of affairs.

    Josh Key

I couldn't agree more. When he's one on one with a full back, his brain seems to freeze and he can't make his mind up to go left or right. There was a classic example yesterday where he was bearing down on their area on the right hand side and had the full back backpedalling, but instead of...

    Where will people be posting

I wouldn't be against a small annual membership fee or subscription to keep a site up and running, say £10.

Last game of the season pint

It was great to meet all the guys in the Mel Nurse bar after the match. Phil, you've created a great community here. It'll be a tragedy if it disappears. Smurph, well done and thanks very much for organising it.

    The Lower Leagues Thread

I'm so frightened the scummers are coming for us. Had their arse handed to them by the mighty Mansfield.
