• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Next season - if we stay io

We also need to be mindful of finances as a club of our size with some fickle support we have spent a lot on signings, wages and sackings. A new right back and keeping our best players for another season if we can. The budget is always going to be limited. Stability and safety are the first...

All of the miserable posters who remind me that it's not good for them to continually moan and criticise

    Idah

Yes Vipotnik has a great shot and I’m happy with him but his general play is nothing special and he lacks pace. His heading is poor for solid build. I disagree on Idah as he arrived with us in poor form. His contract and supposed transfer fee are not his fault. C He does show effort and makes...

Galbraith nearly scored in first half, Cullen in the second half, Eom shanking a shot after a good run from memory

Shocking performance. Not up with play, fussing about the odd yard for a set piece, so slow in whistling for a free kick to go ahead whilst missing blatant yellow card offences and failing to consult his assistants

    World Cup Draw

Infantini/Sycophantini everything that is wrong with professional sport at the highest level. Corrupt to the core

At least Matos has a full week but not sure what he can do with skills, attitude and fitness in that time. Amazing what the cost of this side in signing fees and wages must be.

Eustace said they had targeted an area of weakness for their first goal- defending on our right for sure. Both Ronald and Key AWOL when we had our whole team back. Just basics and we are behind. I’m sure any decent coaching team can rectify that. All that inverted full back crap under Williams...

Vitor Matos Named Swansea City Boss as New Era Begins at the Swansea.com Stadium

I agree- I saw effort and we had chances. The subs and formation with Burgess ending up as a wing back at times totally disrupted us. Looking forward to seeing the selection and early tactics tonight. Uppa Swans

    We want Sheehan out

It certainly ain’t great and today was a low point but until today we’ve not been shipping goals and at least been in the game, like we were with Luke. Confidence is clearly becoming an issue

Never mind players we no longer have or don’t have. Let’s concentrate on our own side and we can do. Looking forward to tomorrow

Spot on. I have been a Key critic with good cause but fair play with Widell providing defensive support he did well against a very tricky oponent in defence and was more like his previous self going forward. Both Casey and Samuels-Smith are indeed classy footballers

Agree, but some tired legs out there after the great effort. Benson lacks commitment sadly.

    Brendan

With all respect for what he achieved here, having managed at Celtic, Leicester and Liverpool I can't see that Swansea would be high on the lsit Rogers' CV anywaybank balance. I wouldn't want him back in the current circumstances for him or us either.

Sheehan Doesn’t Know What He’s Doing

I guess that is the life of us fans supporting a smaller club
