• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not the worst side we could put out but feel like we’ll miss Widell and his pressing. I like Yalcouye and don’t mind that midfield set up at all. Ward starting means we’ll have to be careful on that side, would like to see Key on in the second half.

    A Tactical Masterclass! 😲😂

I wouldn’t have him back here or anything but feel the hate he gets is a bit overblown. Seemed like an alright guy but lacking in a bit of pragmatism when needed. Reminds me of Ange Postecoglu, I can admire the commitment to an ideal but at some point you have to look at the players available...

    A Tactical Masterclass! 😲😂

Flawed methods but got us closer to the play offs than anyone since Cooper. Also delivered the quadruple which for me is one of the more notable things we’ve done since relegation. The football could be boring and the mistakes frustrating but it wasn’t all bad under him.

    Steve Brown DoF?

Don’t hate the idea of shopping in more domestic markets but would still like us to cast our net further afield. A good balance would be nice. Will be interesting to see if he still has access to that database or if it belongs to Man United exclusively now.

    Steve Brown DoF?

One of the names in the frame according to Tom Coleman. Ex Man United head of scouting I think. Don’t know if he has any experience as a DoF though. Can’t read the article because of the paywall, journalism I guess.

Flynn Downes - Missed Red Card Offence

I like Downes a lot, thought he was excellent for us, especially in the Derby. He does have a tendency to lose it every now again though doesn’t he? No idea why he didn’t get sent off against us.

    Eom

It’s a common theme! His decision making (especially for crosses) is consistently good and he should have more assists than he does.

    JackArmy.net - Twenty-Five Years And Out

As a fairly new poster on here, thank you Phil. I’ve been reading this site for years but only made an account last summer with all the hype of the transfer window. It’s clear this place has become a real community over the last 25 years and has played a significant part in the clubs modern...

    Eom

Hit similar form end of last season, hope he can maintain it now. In fairness, he did have an injury back in August which set him back. It’s obvious that he has the talent and I think the physical side of his game has improved a lot too. Has 5.88 expected assists this season, if he got those 6...

    Margetson

Probably good that Matos can get in who he wants. Margetson was part of the old coaching staff so don’t really mind that we’re getting a full refresh.

Very tough one this. Norwich one of the form sides for a while now. Gonna go for a 2-2 but could easily lose this. Have more hope for the Charlton home game unfortunately!

    Galbraith

Wouldn’t want to lose Vipotnik and Galbraith in the same summer but there is potential for gaining around a combined £30mill if we get max value and PL clubs are involved. That money could seriously improve us if we spent it wisely… I should add that £30 mill is the absolute max we could get if...

    Millwall

Millwall have 2 quite easy fixtures to finish their season and I can’t see them dropping a point. If they finish with max points they’ll be on 85 so Ipswich will have to win at least 3 of their remaining games to match that. I think I’d still rather be Ipswich but they do have Southampton in...

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | QPR 1 Swansea City 2 | Att: 13,835 | Tuesday 21st April | The EFL Championship | Matrade Loftus Road

Best away performance this season. Actually dominant for large parts of that second half. Only disappointing things were the goal conceded and the fact that chances weren’t taken. Walta looked more comfortable that second half and was a lovely shot that the keeper had to palm away. Not getting...

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | QPR 1 Swansea City 2 | Att: 13,835 | Tuesday 21st April | The EFL Championship | Matrade Loftus Road

We’re doing okay, needlessly kicking it long at times when there are better options though. We do miss Galbraith in midfield to give us a bit of composure. Both Burgess and Cabango have given it away trying to pass into midfield so I get why we sometimes lump it but it can be frustrating to...

The usual with us where we win the ball from the press and lose it quickly after. Done it a few times. We’re going to have to get better at ball retention.

    Season 26/27

Think West Ham will be the ones to come down with Burnley and Wolves. Still a tough 3 clubs to compete against. Wrexham and Birmingham being in the league makes it even tougher for us but we shouldn’t expect top 6 next season, top 8 will be progress.

    Season 26/27

Always tough in the Championship but will be a lot easier if we can get the recruitment right. If we’re going for a Klopp system, we’ll need some pace out wide and a natural ball player at CB. I think our midfield as it is can work but we may need to add some goals if Walta isn’t fancied. Having...

    Table since Matos took over

Just seen a Norwich fan on Twitter respond to the Team of the Season by saying he’s never heard of Tymon 😂
