• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    NFL 2025

After watching the game v the 49'ers I think the only team that can prevent a Seahwaks superbowl is the Rams. They (and a Darnold meltdown) are my only fears.

I was hoping the lingo would see a significant improvement in both. It hasn't. Need a change asap.

He makes me a little nervous in big games, and I don't think he's got a superbowl in him. Still he's a massive upgrade on Geno Smith. Epic game that though.

I didn't realise he was signed to start! He's got a good record against the Seahawks but I can see a Seahawks shut out on the cards

Vitor on the problem of his coaches.

I'm pretty certain stopping freedom of movement was the number one issue for people to vote for Brexit, "taking back control of our borders" and all that, which obviously worked out very well! If we were still in the EU we'd have the coaching team Matos wants, we aren't, so we don't.

    Cancer

Great points there. I seem to be surrounded by prostrate cancer at the moment, with my Dad waiting for tests and results amongst loads of others. It's incredibly common but also very treatable in a lot of cases, especially in older blokes. Don't be ashamed, make that appointment. I also bumped...

Free Christmas bus services in Swansea (Before 7pm)

It's a great idea, I'll be using it on Saturday. Unfortunately to get a bus to the train station to go Xmas shopping in Cardiff.

    Rachel Reeves

That point should have been when writing the manifesto for the 2024 general election. The obvious problem being hardly anyone would have voted for a party brandishing a manifesto that was honest about the problems we faced and what it would cost to put it right. Just look at Reform.

I'll admit my bias, but the Seahawks are looking frighteningly good. The Darnold / Smith - Ngijba link is looking incredible.

What a game. And now the longest field goal in history for the Jaguars. What a sport!

Absolutely. I didn't even vote for them, but the press hounding of anything left of centre is absurd. I don't know how they get away with it. Just compare Angela Rayners stamp duty situation with Farage's "girlfriends" house in Kent.

Excellent week for the Seahawks too and we didn't even play. Two big weeks coming up against divisional rivals.

I don't think that's long enough. It's still taking votes away from them.

    Caerphilly

That's exactly the ground the Lib Dems should be filling. If they made the centre they're own they'd be soaring in the polls. They'd get vote. Over the next six months we have to see some clear ground between Plaid and Labour in Wales, they can't just be a pro indy Labour. Park independence...

    Caerphilly

If those results were replicated across the new constituency, under the new system, Plaid would get 3 seats, Reform 2 and Labour 1. I think. Reform couldn't implement their DOGE policies, most of their perceived waste in government / local government is a result of complying with legislation...

    Caerphilly

I'm not. All the opinion polls had Reform and Plaid much closer than the actual result, most had Reform ahead. It's easier to say who you are going to vote for when asked or on social media than actually put an X in a box. This has given me a bit of extra confidence that Reform won't form the...

    Caerphilly

Reform were second by a far bigger margin than I thought they would be. Despite a better turnout I suspect Reform "supporters" didn't bother to actually vote.

    The Senedd Election 2026

If they get stage fright on a regional TV programme God help them representing Wales on diplomatic world stage or even negotiating a better settlement for Wales with Westminster. I haven't seen it all, but the reform candidate was made to look a fool over immigration in Caerphilly, especially...

    The Senedd Election 2026

The parties on the right don't need to capture the younger voters they have pretty much the entire media to do it for them.

That's not the way the new system works.
