Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Melker ‘end product’ Widdell is getting better, that flick in the first half to Tymon was right out of the top drawer, natural creativity.
Just needs to overcome the headless chicken tendency when he gets in the box, missed a sitter last week and today.
Yep, we can’t start an attacking move with our current CBs, who are decent defenders but we need someone with the composure to pick a crafty pass out a few times per game
Despite the defeat there’s a fair amount of encouragement to take from that, gave them a pretty good run for their money but a mix of youthful naivety and grey areas of quality meant we fall foul of slightly superior quality again.
Getting closer and I don’t think our deficiencies will be...
Only the board at Union Berlin know whether this is right or wrong.
(a) If she has been appointed based on being the best candidate then it’s a great thing.
But
(b) If it’s a virtue signalling PR appointment then it’s awful, for her and the game.
Forced inclusivity is damaging, merit-based...
Tommy Mutton!! Right up there with Aiden Newhouse as one of club legends!
Veering off topic! 😬
Right back, Rangel every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Yeah i remember watching a BBC program about the reggae boyz and he was the Blacka Pearl, their superstar…..then we signed him. So exciting at the time but he turned out to be pretty underwhelming!
I was about 11 at the time and went along expecting him to run rings around the opposition. He was a poor man’s Mark Clode! I do remember Clode scoring an absolute screamer in a home game against Port Vale though so standards were high!
Joao Moreira! I remember the headline on teletext said ‘Benfica Ace Signs’ then I saw him on his first home game
Been aware of marketing propaganda ever since, he must have been Benfica’s kit man!
What is with the Ward hatred?! He’s in the twighlight of his career, doing a bit part job for us as an extra body to fill the gap at full back. Monga didn’t get a kick when he came on, and leicester barely had a sniff. Therefore job done by Ward.
An unconventional method but good man management of Parker, we are going to come under some serious pressure here and he can exit the action with his confidence high and develop a head of steam ready to be a regular feature next season.
Easy in, we’ve earned the freedom to do this.
Everytime I watch an away game I realise how much work there is still to do.
Taking Walta and Parker out of the conversation (due to the little we’ve seen of them) how many of this team would get into the starting line ups of the top 3? Vigs and Vip? Possibly Tymon?
Funny game, football! We played well first half against Coventry but were 3-0 down. Not played anywhere near as well today yet 2-1 up.
Parker has some serious pace, well worth persisting with, different element of threat
With a slightly sharper edge we could have won our last two games, we breached Wrexham and Cov several times but lack the punch and confidence.
Ok we lost both times but should have been 2 up in both games.
The machine is working, we won’t go down, I’d put my life on that, we just need better...
Ron…..not going to lump in on him, but add to to ever growing ‘how does he get in the side?’ debate.
It really is beyond a joke now, every cross, every shot, wayward, offside with the WHOLE LINE to look across at least once a game.
I’m sure this isn’t lost on Matos.
Could it be that he’s a...
Galbraith is on another level to the majority of the league, and I don’t think he’s anywhere near his potential yet. To hang on to him for another year would be huge, once he adds goals (10-15 per season is a reasonable expectation I reckon) we’ll either get promoted or sell him for enough to...
