    James McClean (again)

I disagree. It’s important to remember while getting absolutely hammered….. And then forget in the morning 🤣 https://preview.redd.it/seen-on-poppy-watch-twitter-v0-fwamfpr5ikx91.png?auto=webp&s=a5c96310a35e680ae72289a2719d2bf617653ee6

The Martin / Southampton legal dispute

It’s the Mail, so take it with a pinch of salt and a massive dose of racism 🤣 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12443525/amp/Southampton-MAKE-improved-bid-10m-Swanseas-Nathan-Wood-Russell-Martin-eyeing-England-youth-international-replacement-Germany-bound-Armel-Bella-Kotchap.html

The Martin / Southampton legal dispute

£3M and off that report is right about a million of that was a sweetener to get us to drop the complaints against Martin/S’ton. Didn’t we turn down £10 million for him the previous year? Sums up our incompetence lately.

Fans booing when the opposition has the ball

Possibly. There are plenty of ‘big team’ fans knocking around with season tickets. Some still have them and the seats have been empty for years. They’ll be back if we go up again. It’s very odd behaviour.

Wales' Connor Roberts hopes to play for Swansea again

He’s been blowing out of his arse when I’ve seen him lately. I’d rather we’re not used as a sentimental retirement home (see also Joey). So it’s a no from me. Had he come back a couple of years back when Burnley first got relegated, that would have been a different matter.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Burnley FC 1 Swansea City FC 0 | The EFL Championship

Although we’re starting to look like we’ve got the basis of a good little (literally!) side. A decent AM, new striker and another wide option with a bit of class and things could look pretty good for the future 👍

I don’t think so, not without more end product. The defence and CM (only Grimes & Franco) wouldn’t be out of place in a top 4 team. But we need more from at least half of the front 4.

    🍾🥳🎉🎊Club To Be Sold

I hope you’re right. Presumably he sanctioned last summer’s transfer activity, which was an utter disaster. There’s no doubt a lot more to it than I know though. He’ll get a reset and fresh slate from me, but he needs to show he’s learnt from his time here so far.

    🍾🥳🎉🎊Club To Be Sold

I think it's more to do with them being the same people who are on the board already. They will be rightly tainted by the way the club has been run recently. Whether this let's the shackles off for them to do something different, let's hope so. And the money doesn't sound impressive. £20M is...

Yeah seems about right. Business as usual really.

Short on options, but that may have given Peart-Harris his chance. He was immense last night. Far better than anything Eom, Cooper or Cullen has shown this season. He’s still raw, but he’s skilful and powerful. I’d happily have him starting anywhere across that 3 behind our ‘striker’ (lol).

And your verdict on his performance last night?

    Viktor Gyoketes

The bloke’s been on fire for a few years now. I didn’t see it when he was here either, but maybe that says more about us than him! It just shows that we shouldn’t write players off on limited evidence.

    Darling and Cabango

He was phenomenal alongside Guehi. But then he was only expected to defend, which seems to be the case again. It’s so obvious that he’s not a footballing CB that I wonder sometimes if there’s anything between Russel Martin’s ears.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 1 Watford 0 | The EFL Championship

Franco is our signing of the summer for me, and we’ve been crying out for someone like him for years. Just a shame he’s weak offensively, but if he wasn’t he would be playing at a higher level. By that I mean he has a shot like a 90 year old hanging onto a zimmer frame 😂

Naughts is often the best player on the pitch when he gets a run out, so no worries there (I hope I haven’t jinxed him now!). He won’t be getting forward as much though, but should be solid.

    Cullen signs new contract

I’ve got no problem with this. Works hard and wears his heart on his sleeve. There’s no reason why he can’t be a useful squad member. It’s not his fault we’ve failed to land a decent striker and more pressure lands on him. (Just to add, I’d rather they sorted out Cabango and Darling though...

Tommy Robinson jailed for 18 months ...

Once a scumbag, always a scumbag. I’d sack the court artist though, unless they picked up Harry Maguire by mistake.
  19. LeonWasTheDogs

    Darling / Cabango contracts

Utter shambles. ‘Build bridges’ ffs. We’re run by fools. Bango’s been great this season now we’ve got a manager who wants him to defend, rather than impersonate Beckenbauer.
  20. LeonWasTheDogs

    Would you trade.....

It could force their hand to sell, as the penny may finally drop that they are not capable of leading us well enough to see any sort of return on their investment. That would be the hope anyway. But you’re right that they’d have no plan and relegation would be a disaster if we were to be stuck...
