Are desktop computers on their way out?

That's what multiple Google results estimated, no idea if that's accurate but it wouldn't surprise me.

Are desktop computers on their way out?

That's a good point, desktops are definitely not a thing in most offices I go in these days and haven't been for quite some time. Which don't review for businesses though, it's for consumers. With an estimated 1.8 billion PC gamers worldwide, I certainly wouldn't call that a niche area. A large...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 0 Coventry City 2 | Att: 15,189 | The EFL Championship

Agreed. Seeing the team play exactly the same way (although probably worse with Fulton in rather than Grimes), would be extremely disappointing.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 0 Coventry City 2 | Att: 15,189 | The EFL Championship

Back at the end of December, just after winning 2 games in a row, we were talking a lot about the club needing to actually plan ahead for transfer windows and have deals close to completion. Widell was clearly a long negotiation, probably because we really wanted him for the rest of the season...

    The new Champions League format

As much as it grinds my gears to praise Liverpool, you have to respect that they could play the kids in their dead rubber of a final match even in this new and more competitive format. Icing on the cake is that even though they lost, they still ended in top spot because Barcelona slipped up.

    Jacob Wright - £4m

Wouldn't be surprised if there's a buy-back clause in there for a set fee also. Would be a bit of gamble on our part if he set the world on fire here as we'd probably get less for him then, but would guess it would be set at a high enough price that we'd make a very good profit nonetheless.

Are desktop computers on their way out?

No chance desktops are on their way out. For those who know what they're doing, it makes far more sense to have a desktop and swap out components as needed. Needless to say I have a laptop as I don't know what I'm doing. I'm guessing the amount of people building their own like DJack means...

    Melker Confirmed

Indeed. I'm not sure how many more times we can point out that if we hadn't loaned him back, they wouldn't have sold him to us. We would have had to wait until the summer and then the price may go up, other clubs may want him, etc.

    Jacob Wright - £4m

Their valuations are worthless, you'd honestly get more accuracy looking at Football Manager. They must have a lot of confidence in him if this is true as that's a lot of money for us. Hopefully he's more Gibbs-White than Patino.

    Oli Cooper

What's going on with Cooper? Feels like he's been out injured for months. He's no superstar but would be nice to have another body to call on given how thin the ranks are looking.

That may be true, but as of right now it's a complete assumption.

I thought I was dreaming the 20mph limit

I didn't click on the report, from what others have said I thought it did have all the roads listed and someone with too much time on their hands could separate them. Apologies if I got that wrong and that would make the report less useful. Still not possible to say it's made no difference...

    Man Utd

Fair point, maybe a slightly more diplomatic response would have been merited. David Gill leaving at the same time as Ferguson and Ed Woodward taking his job probably didn't help as that was the start of them being totally inept in the transfer market.

    Man Utd

Yes, they'd have been relegated long ago. I'm exaggerating of course, but sacking Moyes is not on the list of massive mistakes they've made post-Ferguson. Letting Ferguson pick his successor and not telling him to fuck off when he picked his fellow Scot is on the list. I'd say letting the odd...

I thought I was dreaming the 20mph limit

To be fair, suggesting it's made very little difference without actually looking at the data in detail is as intellectually dishonest as you are accusing the WG of being in this report. It's an assumption at best. Given how people feel about the WG, I'm sure people will be drilling down into...

    Man Utd

On the subject of the Europa League, I'm sure most posters here are able to remember the UEFA Cup and Cup Winner's Cup, back in the days of only actual Champions being allowed in the Champions League/European Cup. I remember those tournaments often being more entertaining than the European Cup...

    Man Utd

I'd compare it to Liverpool post-Dalglish (the first time obviously), but at least Liverpool were able to win some Champions Leagues before finally winning the league again. It's pretty clear Man U have fallen even further than Liverpool did and have a lot more work to do to be successful again.

On paper, I can see the argument for Sancho and Pogba. Pogba was absolutely brilliant for Juventus and France, while Sancho had been brilliant for a very good Dortmund team. Lukaku was over-priced but actually did well in his first season (27 goals). He didn't suit Solskjaer after Mourinho was...
