    Cardiff City Relegation Party. #findyourlevel

The evil part of my brain is starting to think that Cardiff staying up this season might be worse for them in the long term than going down. If they stay up then Tan will feel vindicated and keep doing what he's doing. The ill feeling will fester, the obligations will continue to grow...

    Alan Sheehan-Manager for Next Season

Style of play helps. If most of your squad are regimented to only do certain things in certain spaces then their opportunities to get themselves onto the scoresheet will be limited (also your main striker will have to be a miracle worker able to create stuff for himself). We have to play in a...

Do you know how many strikers have scored 20 goals in the Championship this season? None. Zero. Only two did it last year. Three the year before. They're neither common nor necessary. Leeds are the division's top scorers and Piroe has 15, but they have five other players who have scored at...

I'm trying to think of a Swans player that he reminds me of most, and the closest I'm coming to is Russell Coughlin. That mix of midfield terrier plus cultured passer.

Demo Up The Road On Monday 😂😂😂

Is this the same Annis who once wanted to arrange a fans gathering to meet Tan's plane when it arrived to show him how much Cardiff fans loved and appreciated him? This was when he briefly threatened to withdraw his funding for the shameless whores.

Whether or not the side is playing to an individuals strengths really should be something that people consider far more before deciding whether a player is any good or not. I still think that Eom would be better in a more central position. He's not quite quick enough to flourish out wide for me.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 Hull City 0 | Att: 18,775 | The EFL Championship

Grimes has to be forced out of his comfort zone. For far too long, under too many managers, he wasn't. Potter did it. Duff also to a point. Cooper, Martin and Williams let him get on with it. Moving on from him has done us good. Might do him good too, but I don't really care.

Williams would have subbed him after 65 minutes.

I wouldn't really call him a #10 either. For me he was a charging central midfielder. Had a goal in him but his main job should have been carrying the ball through midfield as quickly as possible. Naturally Russy stuck him out wide. We saw what he was capable of during that late run in 2023...

Lewis O'Brien on Hull City | Press Conference

It's possible, maybe even probable that we could come to some sort of fee agreement with Forest. Maybe a couple of million upfront with significant performance/promotion extras. If LoB is on the reported 50k p/w he would have to take a minimum 50% pay cut though. Although he'd be a bargain at...

    Alan Sheehan-Manager for Next Season

Oh absolutely. It seems fairly obvious that the majority of people casting heavy doubt on Sheehan are still living in 2007 and are mostly the same people who strongly backed both Martin and Williams because they played what is considered the "right" type of football. The ones who don't...

Depends on what the interpretation of "capable of far more" means. It's not just a matter of playing style. I do, and always have, believe that the squads we've had have been capable of more in terms of results and performances than we've seen since Martin got the job. Certainly the players he...

Do they own their own stadium? If they do I wouldn't rule out shenanigans on Tan's part to try and claw back some of the money he's gubbed away on them. Sell the club, keep the ground and charge them silly rent to play there.

Neither of them are earning close to what has been reported either. Naughton was at one point when we were still in the PL, but he's certainly not now.

Yep. Wages are the club killer. We simply don't have the income to just pay players whatever they want, no matter how good they are.

I would be amazed if Franco was on £20k per week. We could be paying him a quarter of that and it'd still be a massive increase on what he's likely to have been earning at a lower Portuguese club.

What if they both want £50k a week?

He's certainly shown up the way Russy and Williams tried to play, which they won't like.
