    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

To have a sensible idea of how these owners operate, yes. Multiple summer windows would give us a good indication as to whether or not these guys are the same as the last ones. For me, it’s not controversial to say that it’s going to take a couple of years to really challenge in this league...

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

Well we’ve lost quite a few from the squad and one or two important players from the first team, while also needing to upgrade anyway. I think the sheer numbers involved meant that we were never going to have everyone in before Boro

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

To be fair to those in charge, there was always far too much work to do in a single window. We definitely weren’t going to have all players in before the first game. I don’t think we can say what these are like yet until we’ve had multiple summer windows under their control.

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

I think people hear philosophy and think Russell Martin, maybe Luke Williams, and shudder; but it doesn’t have to mean being a complete zealot to one singular way of playing. As long as we have core principles then there’s flexibility there. I’m not sure I’m a fan of setting up for the...

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

I agree we’ll have to be patient and we will improve, especially when new players come in. The larger concerns come from not really knowing what we were trying to do yesterday. Usually you can see what the idea is but it didn’t seem the players knew what it was either. Should we be playing to...

In some respects I agree with you. Martin is too dogmatic to manage in the Premier League in my opinion. However, I think he did get it right with us albeit right at the end. He’s the type of manager where more money and resources do help for the championship because he needs better calibre...

Yeah, there was a bit of that with him last season but most of the time the long balls had a point. Today it just looked like we had no other ideas.

The big difference for me is this ownership wasn’t there for those managers. I don’t want to blow too much smoke but we have people in charge that will back a manager now, Russell Martin didn’t have that in his second season especially. I think if these owners had been in charge back then, we’d...

Well, we did play longer balls away from home last year but there was more fluidity and less speculative long balls being played. I think Burgess being in there makes a difference, he’s not a ball player like Darling was, it’ll mean that he’s more inclined to just lump it at times. I’m not...

I’m honestly not sure about that. I get his points tally was fantastic, I’d never dispute that and I actually was happy he got it after helping us stay up. Having said that, if we had a style of play that we wanted to go for then we should have gotten rid of him regardless in my opinion, as...

Not sure how to feel after that performance. I liked some of our games under Sheehan last season and we obviously had the results, I was hoping we’d see a more definite style than what we did there. Just hope we’re not here in 6/7 weeks saying Hellberg should have been appointed. Trying to be...

It did, hopefully he’s made up his mind and we’ll see some confirmation soon🤞

Vital reckons he’s mulling it over, that’s why there’s no firm decision yet. Could well happen though, agreement with Brighton, all down to him.

    Summer Transfer Window

Remember when we were linked a few weeks ago. Would be happy to see this happen but from what I’ve seen and heard he still isn’t that 6 we need. That BBC article did say we’re after 2 more midfielders so hopefully a deep lying player is in the plans.

    Summer Transfer Window

Vipotnik definitely has something about him, we just didn’t see it until Sheehan came in. He could arguably have had 10-12 goals last season if he was just a little bit sharper. That would have been a success considering 10 was his tally before coming here. Should have had an easy hat trick in...

    Summer Transfer Window

People online comparing him to Vip but think he looks a bit more mobile. Seems to be great off the shoulder and has good acceleration about him. Looks excellent in the air too. This one seems decent if we can get it done.

    Summer Transfer Window

Wasn’t Santos just an awkward landing? Can’t blame anyone for that. Same for Vipotnik hurting his toe, likely just a challenge on him in training or he’s hurt it striking the ball or something. Others could be a result of training intensity but I think it’s harsh to solely blame the coaches

    Summer Transfer Window

Looking at Eom’s form at the end of last season I would want him to start also but I based it off of what I thought was most likely. Apparently Inoussa can play on the right so we could well see him move there and Eom starting on the left.

    Summer Transfer Window

looking at our Bench, when all are fit we know for definite that we’ll have on there Vipotnik (once we get a new 9) Eom (if we assume Inoussa and Ronald start), Santos and Casey. While not great, it isn’t terrible, I think Vip and Eom are decent to have off the bench and hopefully both CBs can...

    Summer Transfer Window

I think if we had all our players fit, people would feel a lot better about starting the season. As it is we are a little short but with Cabango, Santos and Vipotnik fit we’d be able to field a decently competitive team. Was hoping a striker would be in this week but not looking likely now.
