I suspect it's got a lot to do with the way that the game has moved towards statistical analysis where it seems like absolutely every key decision is data driven. You can imagine some DoF more skilled in spreadsheets than coaching falling in love with one of Russy's Powerpoint presentations...

Eom is a couple of weeks behind most due to pre-season injuries. I don't think he's quick enough to be a winger, but he's got a lot to offer IMO. He showed enough in our run in last season to suggest that he is at least Championship capable.

Every broken dressing room needs a manager who plays favourites with some players and publically criticises the ones he doesn't like. It's the perfect remedy for discord.
