He's having an odd season. Purely as a winger, his offensive contribution hasn't been up to much. Too many moves made it to him today and then grounded to a halt as he just couldn't get past his man. Defensively as ever you could not fault his effort and work rate. But he's finding himself in...

Cullen's reputation seems to rest largely on a good five or six weeks he had for Wales and us between November and December last season. Scored three goals in 17 appearances for both until 19th November, then eight goals in nine games to Boxing Day. After that, three goals in 25 games up to...

Hopefully not. Think it would be folly to get shot of a player who we know can score at this level. If he's the one (understandably) pushing for the move himself it might make things different.

Old Firm games are usually an entertaining watch anyway just because of the atmosphere. Brendan is under a bit of pressure but he is at least a capable manager. Russy is a bullshitting fraud. An early goal for Celtic may result in the unusual sight of an armed police ring around the Rangers...

    The Summer Transfer Window Thread

Having seen how histrionic our own fans can get when some perfectly capable players are being "evaluated" the opinions of Celtic fans don't particularly interest me. We're obviously not going to be paying anything like £7m guaranteed for him. Probably not even half that. A guaranteed £3m or so...

I'd say you're pretty spot on with that assessment. Anything and everything but accept blame and re-evaluate himself and his entire philosophy.

Its the speed and consistency with which he falls out with his players that has always astounded me. At least two at Rangers already. I never fully bought into the idea that his problems with Pato, Obafemi and Whittaker were entirely down to the players. Partially maybe. Perhaps mostly in Oba's...

Apparently of the starting lineup last night of players who apparently don't want to fight for each other or the club, eight were signed since he became manager.

Oh it's the players that are the problem. Cheers for clearing that up Russell.

I suspect it's got a lot to do with the way that the game has moved towards statistical analysis where it seems like absolutely every key decision is data driven. You can imagine some DoF more skilled in spreadsheets than coaching falling in love with one of Russy's Powerpoint presentations...

If he's not careful he'll be sacked before he has the chance to sign Nathan Wood.

But he's had real success with all his clubs once they get through it.

Final Week Fever: Swansea’s Striker Search and the Stakes Ahead

Eom is a couple of weeks behind most due to pre-season injuries. I don't think he's quick enough to be a winger, but he's got a lot to offer IMO. He showed enough in our run in last season to suggest that he is at least Championship capable.

Every broken dressing room needs a manager who plays favourites with some players and publically criticises the ones he doesn't like. It's the perfect remedy for discord.
