I get with Cabango & Burgess as centre halves we’re not going to play too high a line, but you’re spot on. It’s been far too easy to play through our midfield this season.

Done enough in two short cameos to deserve a start at Charlton next Saturday IMO. More likely to get a start against City in midweek though!

Desperately needed that win today. Thought we started with a higher tempo but we’re just struggling to control a game for any prolonged period - still not 100% if that’s down to instruction from the manager or a lack of confidence and/or ability on the pitch. Probably a combination of all 3...

Welsh Rugby Bosses to Scrap One Region by 2027

With the exception of some benefactors in France & England, international rugby/the unions fund the club game the world over. Wales aren’t unique in this, however, there’s been mismanagement at all levels (papered over by 6 Nations success) ever since the regions were formed. A constant...

Last part is almost certainly true about the largest party and First Minister, but the kingmakers will come from the other parties and with the new system every vote will count.

Welsh Rugby Bosses to Scrap One Region by 2027

I’d assume (hope) that if the development doesn’t go ahead then Swansea CC will return there next summer. No professional rugby or cricket in the city is a very sad state of affairs though.

Welsh Rugby Bosses to Scrap One Region by 2027

I think if the global international calendar (which everyone apart from New Zealand seems behind) this could be a pretty sensible option. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s just another consultation (led by the next leaders of the WRU) in 2027/2028 though and it’s all up in the air again,

    Sheehan On Borrowed Time?

Agree with this. We’ve plugged every hole in the squad (some which were gaping for years). Possible exception being right back but they knew Galbraith could play there, had a bit of faith in Sam Parker and probably didn’t expect Key’s confidence to have dropped off a cliff. Obviously not all...

    Sheehan On Borrowed Time?

I think he’s under increasing pressure and unfortunately the next 4 games are make or break. Anything less than 4 points and I think we’ll see a change in the international break. Everything just seems a bit muddled atm - whether that’s down to the manager (his messages/the fact he’s been here...

First time I’ve seen this. Cook used his experience/exaggerated/cheated - depending on your viewpoint - but you just can’t do what Yalcouye did and expect to get away with it. We hadn’t started well as a team but he was showing a lot of energy and getting into the box more often than other...

Can blame the manager, blame the ref but unfortunately tonight (and in quite a few other games so far this season) the players are failing to do some basics - giving the ball away cheaply, not tracking runners, losing too many 50-50s, giving away cheap free kicks. This together with a lack of...

    Tonight's football

All 3 relegated sides losing - none of them in the top 6 of the Championship. All 3 promoted sides outside of the relegation zone in the Premier League. Long way to go but maybe the ‘closed shop’ was a bit premature. For the neutral it’d be good to see 3 new sides up and down - not sure what...

    Local Sport.

The Cymru app suggests there are 20+ teams in the Swansea Junior league at under 13s, under 14s and under 15s which is more than there were in the 90s. The leagues are split into two divisions, so I guess they may play slightly less games now - although not playing 3 times a week in September...

I think Mooney was very keen but there was lots of push back from the clubs. Would be interesting where they’d draw the line in the pyramid now they’ve genuinely got one, or whether they’d look to move it all on block - including junior football?

    Bobby Wales

I’ve got nothing to base this on other than a hunch, but I think the plan was to bring in a first choice striker much earlier and sell Vipotnik. It would have then been Cullen as reserve and Wales as 3rd choice. Vipotnik started scoring and we were struggling to get the striker over the line...

    Cam Congreve

How can it take so long for this penalty check - and why does the ref have to check the screen. The implementation of VAR is clearly the biggest issue - even when they get to the right decision that should never have taken 4 minutes!

    Cam Congreve

As long as he comes back and plays a significant part or we get a decent fee for him next summer then it makes sense for him to get the games/experience - watch this space I guess

    Cam Congreve

Easy in hindsight (and hopefully Benson comes good) but I do wonder if we shouldn’t have kept him as the 4th wide player - providing Sheehan was willing to give him significant minutes over the course of the season,
