This 👍 People won’t like the terminology of ‘starters and finishers’ but the reality is it’s a squad game. Having a more competitive squad this season means we need to see subs having a big impact when they come on. I see the 4 wide players being rotated based on fitness and form - especially...

You’d think altering the balance of the midfield starting positions would help with this (defending out wide). Having two deeper midfielders should mean than one is able to slide across and cover if the full back has bombed on. You’ll lose out in other areas but it’s not as if we’re dominating...

I guess decisions do even themselves out 😂 Lots to learn again. I think the main one is we’ve got to be more positive when on top (or the opposition are playing badly). First half they were there for the taking but it was almost too easy and we were just content to knock it around without...

Expected Franco to come in. Less so Benson, but a good opportunity for him to put down a marker. Hopefully see a front foot performance for 90 mins tonight.

Windies cricket goes from bad to worse

Seemed like every county had a West Indian overseas player back in the 80s/90s. Really sad decline in the 21st century, which apart from a couple of T20 World Cup wins in the 2010s shows no sign of improving.

Dug out that photo of the averages from the Glamorgan yearbook but I think you can get just about any of the scorecards on the ESPN CricInfo App 👍

Was on another level during that season. Remember the Nat West 1/4 final against Worcestershire at St Helens where he hardly conceded a run. Just checked on CricInfo 11-5-13-2

Could do with 3 points to stay closer to the top 6 than the bottom 3. Usually take a draw in any away game but I think we need to win at least one of these next two, for confidence if nothing else.

    Alan Sheehan.

Wouldn’t say his strength is passing, but (in a very small sample size so far) he seems keen to run with the ball and at times yesterday linked up well with Tymon & Inoussa. The more space in front of him and Galbraith I think the better they’d be…picking the ball up in the middle 3rd and...

I agree with this. If we’re continuing to use Stamenic, Yalcouye and Galbraith the strength of the latter 2 seems to be driving from midfield with the ball and then picking a pass/working with the front 3. To do that would we need to sit deeper and hit on the break - risks isolating Vipotnik in...

The difficulty of fixtures is really hard to judge - especially if done prior to the season/before the window closes. In those first 9 we have 5 at home, which with our record should be a benefit. Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn & Hull all likely to be in the bottom 8. We’ve also played...

From Liberty to Injustice; the solution to the Championship’s referee woes?

Having just watched Match of the Day it’s hard to argue with that. How they came to some of the conclusions, despite having access to all technology, I have no idea. Simply a case of human error (incompetence).

    Stemenic or Franco ?

Would definitely like to see either Cullen or Widell start at 10 in the home games. Personally with Blackburn struggling I’d definitely try it on Tuesday as well. However, with the current set up I wouldn’t say we’re overstocked - it’s 3 from 4 (with the 4th likely to come on every game)...

Definitely need to be more positive after we go ahead. It’s partly by design based on the personnel Sheehan is picking but the players need to take some responsibility and ‘play what they see’ as well. Numerous opportunities to try and kill the game off at 1-0 today but individuals were far...

Last week I can forgive the assistant. Striker running in, defender standing still and first shirt he sees is Vipotnik. Today just looked stone wall at the time - based on comments from those that have seen replays it seems it was. As you say we may have missed the pen but we’d have had...

Cullen clearly isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and has his limitations but if we’re going to a front 2 I’d think he’d be far better as the second striker linking up play as seen in the short period against Forest. No managers get subs right every time but unfortunately I think that’s 3 league...

Even if the refs view was blocked (it shouldn’t have been) then I’ve no idea how the assistant has missed that. He’s got the same angle as 100s in the ground and it was obvious that Vipotnik was pulled back. Not the only reason we lost but I’d say that’s as blatant a pen that you’re going to...
