Alan Sheehan on Birmingham City | Reaction

Think I mentioned yesterday that I think that it may take quite a bit longer for the league to settle down this season. After 10 games it's been pretty clear over the last few seasons who the top 3/4 sides are going to be and also a group of 6-8 sides that'll be battling relegation. This year...

The fact that Parker didn't play against Forest (or make the 20 man squad yesterday) I think that'd be unlikely. Notice that he, Wales and Santos played for the U21s - which is what we're going to have to do this year for players not getting minutes/coming back from injury. Galbraith has been...

I assume he means the plan/process that the staff go through before training on Monday is the same whether they win or lose.

Surely by definition it’s exactly the middle of the table 😅 Tbf I guess in football terms you could go for a top 10, mid table (11th-14th) and a bottom 10 - wouldn’t argue with that either. If so then I think the target should be top 10 but personally wouldn’t be getting the pitch forks out...

That’s how I’ve always thought of the Championship split. Start of the season there’s probably 2/3 of the league who think they could get in the top 8 though! Our 10 seasons in the Championship probably bear that out - Five top 8 playoff pushing seasons (or better) & five mid table ones...

Agree with this. Maybe there aren’t 7 teams/squads that are miles better than us but there are probably around 14/15 that would consider themselves on a par - especially when you factor in the lack of experience of a 46 game Championship season.

Don’t disagree with this but as a manager sometimes you can’t win. Too many subs and too early last weekend & not enough and too late today. We do need to do better on and off the pitch if we want to challenge for top 6 though. Maybe ‘we’ got carried away over the summer (based on previous...

Unfortunately got what we deserved based on the second half. Wish I hadn’t jinxed the 3rd game in a week itis before kick off.

Not sure about VAR in its current form as it’s been implemented so poorly, but fully automated offside technology needs to hurry up. Far too many goals being wrongly ruled onside/offside every week. I guess if they went by players feet it would be easier for the tech to give an instant decision?

The third game in a week seems to have been a bit of an Achilles heel over the last few years. Might not actually be backed up by the stats, but the eyes and memory test makes me think we’ve dropped off in terms of performance and results. Hopefully the increased squad depth will mean it’s less...

Jason Bowen: Wore Both Colours, Carried More Than Most

Yep, wasn’t that around the time he had ~50 players and they had two 11v11 going on at training at the same time. Ahead of his time with squad rotation was Barry 🤣🤣

Glamorgan Cricket Club 2025 - Promotion???

If the restructuring happens for 2027 it might be a free hit, with no relegation, for next season 🤞

Hope there’s not too many overreactions if things don’t go our way on Saturday. Confidence should be sky high but it’s one of two games (along with Boro) that I thought would be the toughest in the 1st two blocks of games. They haven’t started as well as I expected though so need to be...

    S25/26 | Official Match Thread | Swansea City 3 Nottingham Forest 2 | Att: 11,354 | The Carabao Cup 3rd Round

Ignore the result (which is obviously amazing) the most important thing tonight is that we gave a good account of ourselves tonight against a side with a handful of £40m+ footballers. Those talking about a Forest reserve side obviously haven’t been watching much of the PL over the last few...

Pretty much this, but looking forward to see Idah and a few others get some decent minutes against decent opposition (even if they rotate a lot too).

There were definitely vouchers A, B, C etc in the season ticket book behind vouchers 1-23. Can't remember for certain whether they gave you free entry or you just had to exchange them in the the club shop for 'first refusal' on cup tickets.

Blue Seats and Missed Signals: Why the Forest Tie Isn’t Filling the Dot Com

Hit the nail on the head with the article. I find it strange that nobody at the club thought about the practical issues with the fixture. With regards the emotional aspect, it wouldn’t be hard to tap into a certain other night game ~15 years ago against the same opposition!

Agreed. I was talking about when the opposition have the ball, which is where we’ve been caught out by the opposition switching play and leaving Key/Tymon 1v1 and sometimes 2v1

It does make you wonder who’s making some of the decisions still. Pricing of cup tickets seems to be something we’ve never been able to get our head around. Remember the massive cock up with the Europa league games! 🤦‍♂️ Tbf I can see the issue with including in the season ticket as no doubt...

    Grassroots Summer football

Agree with the investment into pitches. We’re slowly catching up with the rest of northern Europe in terms of 3G pitches which at least gives kids a fighting chance of being able to play during the winter. I don’t think they actually mean ‘summer’, rather a March-October league like Ireland...
