The best thing about Pratley's goal was the circumstances. The control on it considering he hit it in stride was impressive. Arguably the other two goals in that game were just as good, with Britton's sweet strike from outside the area that gave Camp no chance and Dobbie's lovely run and shot...
I just want us to appoint the right manager, if it's Hellberg then fine. Our two most successful managers of recent years came to us having only managed in Sweden and only managed at U-17 level respectively.
We battered Reading in the first half of our previous playoff final, only for them to come out in the second half and go for it, resulting in them pulling 2 back, hitting the post, Monk's crucial block, etc. While we went down 2-0 in the first half to Brentford and did absolutely nothing to try...
Maybe the Swans have made me more pessimistic than usual, but I'm not confident we'll get two wins out of these games, especially with Davies and Moore out. If I was a betting man, I'd predict an unconvincing 1-0 or 2-0 against Lichtenstein and a draw against North Macedonia.
I think it's been posted on here many times that it was a real shame we didn't get a second season under Potter to see if we were on the right track. It's hard to point to Cooper's subsequent success as any indication as the team went through wholesale changes in his two seasons and ended up...
Fair enough, at the end of the day we both want the next guy to do a brilliant job. I'm also looking forward to you posting positive things in support of the new manager... ;)
Same with you, as you clearly showed in the initial post of yours I replied to. Hardly a surprise, I think every post you've ever made on here is bitching about something.
I sincerely hope that the next manager is a good appointment and is massively successful, however what you have said goes both ways. There's a good chance that the players we've signed are not that good and no manager will be able to do that much with them. If that's the case, people like...
As a 49ers fan who knows the season has been wrecked by ridiculously bad injuries, I'm pinning my hopes on Darnold falling apart in the playoffs like he did last season...
Because some 'fans' had made up their mind about Sheehan very early in the season (or even before that if they wanted someone else in the summer) and they won't stop going on about it.
I do wonder what their excuse will be if we sack Sheehan and are just as middling under another manager? My...
I'm sure that's based on a thorough viewing of all of Preston and Charlton's games for you to be such an expert on their teams. It's hard to believe of course that either team could have a better player than Key, Eom, Ronald, Cullen, etc given how consistently superb they are for us...
I'd suggest that is wildly inaccurate comment and vastly overstates the quality of our players. Perhaps it comes from not being familiar with their players, but the suggestion that no player from the teams in 4th and 6th would get it in our team reeks of unearned arrogance.
Don't worry guys, we're now guaranteed a win on Saturday:
First 3 games: Loss, Win, Draw
Next 3 games: Win, Draw, Loss
Next 3 games: Draw, Win, Loss
Next 3 games: Draw, Loss, Win
Last 2 games: Draw, Loss,
Even if we lose on Saturday, I don't see them sacking Sheehan. We have 3 games after the international break and before the end of the month (Bristol City away, Derby home, West Brom away). If we don't win at least one, maybe two, of those then I think they'll pull the trigger.
