    Sin Bin In Football

Certainly isn't. I just don't see it happening. It's not the clock that's the issue, it's the extra burden it puts on the ref to stop/start the clock for injuries, VAR, time-wasting, bookings, sendings off, etc. I know the refs manage it in rugby but that's a much more stop/start game anyway.

For that to work they'd need a match clock like rugby, where the ref gets to "time off"/"time on". I'd be amazed if it happens.

    Mykola & Yates

I watched Yates' highlights reel when he signed and was totally underwhelmed. His goals for Blackpool were a mixture of penalties and scruffy tap-ins. I don't rate Cullen or Vip highly, but they're better than Yates, IMHO.

Cullen likes to moan, but Ronald put a decent ball into the box towards the end of the half. Any decent striker would have got in front of the defender and stuck that in. Vip on I reckon.

From BBC - simple as this: Cardiff will be relegated if Derby better their result.

    Cardiff City Relegation Party. #findyourlevel

Agree. I don't know how SU are where they are. If they go up, they'll be straight back down again.

Can't have too much Darran. Beautiful plumage. There should be a Darran-cam.

Seeing as you have the ear of a director during football coverage, can you pass on a couple of things from me: 1. No-one wants to see endless replays of an (sometimes innocuous) action from multiple angles, especially when the ball's in play. One day they'll miss a goal. 2. No-one wants to...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 Derby County 0 | Att: 16,501 | The EFL Championship

That was a tough watch but Derby's tactics contributed to that. Sheehan said he'd watched their last 4 wins (they'd won 4 of the last 5), so he clearly knew what to expect and he set us up accordingly. Derby obviously set out to bully teams - long throw ins from anywhere in the final third...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Leeds United 2 Swansea City 2 | Att: 35,574 (784 Away) | The EFL Championship

I agree. For me a volley is like hitting a full-toss in cricket, or an, er, volley in tennis, and a half-volley is like a drop kick in rugby. People will argue his Derby goal was a volley though because it was off the ground when he hit it. Not for me.

Luton's GD is terrible, so they're effectively 8pts behind us. Plymouth are pretty much down. Derby can leapfrog Cardiff if they beat PNE midweek.

    Josh Key

Did it today, almost cost us - as others have pointed out.

He's still doing it, so probably not the manager's fault. And he's done it for multiple managers.

    Swans TV v. Boro

Anybody else watch the match on Swans TV today? I have to say, that's the worst coverage I've seen for some time. And it wasn't AOC's commentary (which was fine), or the audio/video sync (which was also fine). It was the poor camera selection and the endless replays from multiple angles...

    Josh Key

We haven't had a Josh Key thread for a while. Nothing's changed since his shocker against Norwich. Defensively suspect, prone to carrying the ball too far and giving the ball away in dangerous areas.
