O'Dea - Reason For Our Downfall?

Have we really reached the point where managers and coaching staff can't shout hurty words at the players?

Vitor Matos Named Swansea City Boss as New Era Begins at the Swansea.com Stadium

Goes without saying that we should all hope that Matos will be a success here. We all know that the club gives information they want out there to certain people and my reason for thinking that Hellberg was first choice is no-one else was being mentioned by the ITKs/convenient mouthpieces once...

Vitor Matos Named Swansea City Boss as New Era Begins at the Swansea.com Stadium

It seems pretty obvious that Hellberg was 100% our first choice. We may well have been speaking to other candidates such as Matos at the same time, but let's not try and pretend Hellberg wouldn't be in place now if he hadn't had a better offer.

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

Wasn't Santos signed when Cabango was the only senior centre-back on the club's books? Clearly a cheap signing so at least we had a warm body to play there if we didn't sign anyone else, then emergency cover once we did get other players in. Once Burgess and Casey arrived, he was destined to...

O'Dea - Reason For Our Downfall?

This O'Dea stuff is ridiculous. Even if he was overly influential in Sheehan's decision making, that reflects terribly on Sheehan. He was the manager, he had the final say on decisions regarding selection and tactics, so it shows he wasn't cut out to be a manager if he didn't have the willpower...

    NFL 2025

The Lions pulled out the win in the end, but that TD reception by Winston for the Giants was the best play of the day for me.

This clapping/acknowledging the fans stuff, I think the players should absolutely do that (especially away games) no matter the result, thank the team for their support. I think the manager should shake hands with the opposition coaching staff and be straight down the tunnel preparing what he's...

Fair. I suppose you could argue that Eom and Ronald have had far more chances to prove themselves unable to provide end product, it's only fair to give Inoussa more chances before writing him off. I will admit I'm clutching at straws here.

Bringing on Santos for Samuels-Smith and Fulton for Key when 2-0 down is the definition of going through the motions.

His end product has been lacking, but he always looks like he could do something, even if he usually doesn't. Which is an upgrade on every other wide player at the club.

I don't know what Vipotnik has done to piss off the coaching staff, but regularly leaving our only proven goal scorer on the bench is utterly bizarre. For all that Martin got wrong, at least he had Piroe out there as much as possible. Vip's no Piroe, but he's clearly our only consistent goal threat.

It could be the All Blacks over-75's and we'd be wondering how many they'd win by.

It's weird, I'm not watching the game and BBC Sport's live thread is crediting Key for creating almost every decent chance we've had, yet everyone here watching has said he's been shit?

Some people won't like that, although I suspect similar. Hoping Matos can prove me wrong and get a tune out of this lot.

Exactly my thought when I saw that line-up. A very conservative team that smacks of aiming to keep it tight and hope to travel home with a point.

    Craig Bellamy

As others have said, he's always been complimentary about us and we've had success with other managers previously associated with Cardiff, Toshack primarily. Plus him coming to manage us would have a good portion of Cardiff fans apoplectic with rage. So win/win.
