I'm falling out of love with football....

“It's the culture that needs changing ...go forward at pace, don't be afraid to make a mistake. But needs to come from the manager and if we can see the intent, I hope the crowd can forgive mistakes.” Couldn’t agree more with this pal and I’ve been saying it for years. An example (I’m sure...

    New recruitment team?

Do you think the timing of this means anything? Appointing a head scout from a far bigger club than us is pretty big news. Doing it the same morning as we sack our manager is odd.

    New recruitment team?

Was he the guy that identified Matt O’Riley?

    SHEEHAN SACKED

I’m gutted for him and for us that it didn’t work out. He won me over last season and I was happy to change my mind and call for him to be made permanent. Alarm bells rang in the pre season games when Cheltenham and Exeter were the attack minded teams and we were on the back foot. It feels like...

    Is the Team/Squad balanced?

Yes that was a cracker. Not meant as a slight at our goalies, just at our lack of adventure and sadly, ability. The guys around us lost it on Saturday when Inoussa broke clear. Everyone was probably thinking “go on son, you’re through here, one on one”. 6 seconds later the ball was back with...

    Is the Team/Squad balanced?

We’ve played a system where we try to dominate the ball for years and, when we have an outlet/aim/target in some pace out wide, we’ve generally done well and we’re all entertained. We haven’t had a decent threat out wide since Dan James. When was the last time our keeper caught the ball and got...

We just aren’t able to attack in a manner required at this level. The warning signs were there in the pre season games in my opinion. Today was a total bumming and it should have been more. I think we’re in trouble.

    So We're Stuck With Sheehan?

Only watched the second half last night. I noticed that Idah twice put the ball into the danger area and we didn’t have a player within 20 yards. One was a clever back heel to the penalty spot which would have been a sitter for anyone willing to gamble. No pace and no connections is what I saw...

Turned it on at 52 mins and we’re 2-0 down. Idah’s header in the 69th min was the first touch I’ve seen in their box. Simmering

    AI articles need to end.

I’ve got some money in a gold exploration play on AIM. They released an RNS last week that had info re one project mixed with info about another project. No human would have made that mistake. Had to release another RNS to correct it. For fuck sake

Are we doing OK or underachieving?

We look really poor out wide. Full backs and wingers never look like they’re on the same page. I really like Tymon and Key so for me, the issue is our non productive wingers. We also need a number 10 as there’s nothing coming through the middle…… basically, we’re shit going forward, like we have...

    Harry Darling

Does anyone know what happened to him at the end of last season? Sorry I’ve mentioned this a few times but last game, he was walking around the pitch on crutches, looked in real discomfort and was as white as a sheet.

    Widell

Gave my ticket away Wednesday due to a bloody virus. Watched most of the first half, what really stood out to me was Widdell geeing all the players up, high fiving, screaming, picking our lads up off the floor. If we’re going to make any sort of attempt at the play offs, I think he will be the key.
