Are we doing OK or underachieving?

This is almost word for word how I see things. Although I would be more positive about Burgess. I think he is a very good defender for our level and has given us a good foundation and it can be hard to find players who are as reliable as him. Casey has promise and makes the option to switch the...

Where would you play him? For me we would have to play Galbraith and Stamenic and then Franco if one of those was injured or rested. Then If he was playing as one of the front three we would end up with not enough attacking players on the pitch.

Are we doing OK or underachieving?

I look at every team we play against and it seems like most teams change a lot every season so it can not just be our excuse either.

Are we doing OK or underachieving?

We have a middle of the pack budget. That means we either accept our fate and place in the world or we need an overachieving coach and an overachieving recruitment department. Right now I think our coach is a 5/10 and our recruitment in the summer was a 6/10. Our recruitment could go up or down...

Great to see Idah turn into Vipotnik and bury a half chance into the bottom corner. He has not shown much in general play yet but if Vipotnik is out injured then I am sure he will improve with more game time. I am not sure he will be worth the money paid but we are in a good place with them two...

Vipotnik- even better than we think he is?

He is quoting the video that is incorrect. Listening back, he actually says 0.78 per game which is double what it is in reality. Strange mistake.

Vipotnik- even better than we think he is?

I did not understand that video. He does not have the 2nd best xG per game in the league. His xG per game is 21st and 0.38 per game, not 2nd and 0.7. The reason he has been so good is because he has done so well with so little xg. If we start getting him the ball more regularly in good positions...

    The Wrexham v Cardiff Thread

Hopefully Wrexham come back into this game. There needs to be a reason to keep Parkinson every month so they forget to ever appoint a proper coach.

He was dropped for the last two league games.

He would be impossible to turn down as a coach. I do wonder if he would want total control around everything else and if it would be worth sacrificing all of the transfer department considering how aligned things seem right now.

If he has been playing like he has tonight, you can see why O'Brien has lost his place in the Wrexham first team. Maybe he will be looking for another loan in January? Cardiff look like they are slowing down here. Big kieffer will probably get at least one good chance to win this now.

I do begrudgingly have less hatred for this Cardiff side because of their use of academy players. Hopefully over the next few years we will add some more regular Welsh players. Feels like Cullens race is run with us and he will move on in the next 12 months or so.

That was more like our early games. Defensively near flawless, they will win on the 'XG' but it is just because of one tap in. Other than that, we barely let them into our box. Which is a good recovery from the last few games where our defence has opened up as our attack has toiled. Like many...

The boy is up there against anyone I have seen for the club at making awkward chances look clinical. He rarely gets tap ins.

They are trying to help Stamenic by getting somebody next to him who can pass. Cullen was always going to get the first chance to play as a 10 but at least out of desperation he now sees Widell as an option. He will come on early in the 2nd half if things are looking familiar. Massive day for...

Right on the money. Do you also have the first goal scorer so I can get my bet on before kick off?

Very good? That is terribly generous to him. He started the first two games and has only started three of the next nine. With one being the sending off. He is young and adapting so my expectations are low out of fairness to him but because he is just on loan we probably need his impact to be...

I would think Idah should be a priority along with the four you mentioned considering the money spent. I would not have Yalcouye in that tier of player or importance for us based on what he has shown so far as a loanee.
