• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    The Brexit vote

My word. This decision in retrospect just gets worse and worse. All the “project fear” stuff just looks more in hindsight like everything was completely underestimated. The “intellectual” wing of the Brexit vote was about a global, “sovereign” Britain. A free trading nostalgic shift towards...

    Preparing for War

For the first time in decades it seems like we need to take the threat seriously regarding a potential conflict. There’s a lot of talk of defence spending going up to 3% of GDP. I think the Gov should be bold and commit to this and potentially more. It’s actually an opportunity to boost the...

    Trump 2.0

This is a completely different ball game. Expansionism is now the order of the day. The US/Israeli axis has really fully come to fruition now. The breeding ground for more and more extreme politics is there now. I do honestly think that this had been in the works for years and I do think a...

    Immigration (net nearly 1m annual)

I doubt there’s anyone who thinks that number makes sense. It’s too high. However the way the Country is structurally right now, how do we realistically get that number down? I know there are a lot of tup people out there who think that’s the “boat people” because of a lot of nonsense peddled...

    “They’re all the same”

How many times do we hear this tired cliche?! I’ve seen no posts on the budget but it’s pretty obvious to me this was a very different budget to what a Tory Chancellor would have done with a marked change of direction for the Country right or wrong. It’s very much a social democratic budget...

    The Welsh Government

2026 is the next Welsh elections. What is Wales to do? I sense an enormous feeling of despondency in the Country with regards the performance of the Welsh Labour Government. But where to turn? We can’t vote reform, yet my fear is that what will happen. Plaid are just Labour lapdogs, the tories...

Time for the pragmatists to keep quiet

Let’s get the next appointment right and get back playing the way that works for the swans. Attractive offensive football, that gets results. Let’s get back on track. No more nonsense.
