    this month in 1970 Ten Years After released their fourth studio album Cricklewood Green. I bought this when it came out in MONO as I didn’t have a record player that would play stereo 😳 I saw them in the Top Rank a long, long time ago.

    From the summer onwards goalkeepers will only be allowed to hold the ball for a maximum of 8 seconds. If held for more time a corner will be awarded. That’s going to work well !

    Rory Gallagher. Another star taken from us far too early. Died from MRSA after a liver transplant in 1995. I saw him at the Top Rank, obviously wearing one of his signature lumberjack shirts.

    Sir Karl Jenkins CBE is 81 today. Sir Karl is the Patron of Swansea Jazz Festival. He is from Penclawdd and very proud of his Welsh roots. His classical works are amongst the most played by a living composer. He was also a member of the prog rock band Soft Machine.
