Swansea City: Incompetence reigns through yet another window

With all these funds we haven't spent if these transfer targets were even real there is no reason now to bring in a DOF to steady a very rocky ship.

It was reported on WoL that someone is working their notice and should be with us in March?

Not sure if the role is DOF as we know it.

Tesco do expect a three month notice period these days to be fair

When you look at this window in pure isolation and with no context, you could say:

- We've offloaded a loan player who never played (Abbey) and replaced him pretty much like for like, if not better (we'll see how much he plays when Darling is back). Not worth getting excited about.

- We've lost a permanent experienced championship midfielder and captain for a fee and replaced him, temporarily, with an experienced championship midfielder. Probably fairly sensible, despite the inflated money we are paying. Let's see who is available in the summer.

- We've sold an academy player for cash and replaced him with a Swedish U21 international who from his Youtube videos looks good. Him going back there leaves us short for a few months, again not a massive issue really for me.

However, these windows are never taken in isolation and context is very much important. Assuming Darling goes in the summer for free, we immediately have to replace him. And Grimes/O'Brien. So that is two big tasks before we even start. Then we need to replace the other (definitely/more than likely) outgoing players - Hannes, Allen, Peart Harris, Naughton?, Christie? - that's realistically 7 new players in total, just to give us the same paper thin squad, numbers wise. I haven't bothered including Pederson in this either.

We've also then got Yates and the Ukrainian bloke coming back who need to be offloaded which is probably going to be no mean feat. Same with Fisher.

That's all before we even consider the likes of Fulton and Tjoe A'on who the club may want to move on and someone coming in for any of our players with Franco.

You could be generous and say that Widell will be coming in but that still leaves us with an absolutely mammoth task just to get bodies in, never mind the quality of them. Required of a club who couldn't make signings in a window where we very much needed it to keep our heads above relegation.

Sooner rather than later, we need to have a superb window to mitigate the dreadful ones we've been having but I can't see it and this is what will ultimately lead to us being back in League One.

The story goes that this appointment is likely to have zero impact on the football side of our club
Take that as you want to but I take it as Andy is appointing himself as the man for the football and the new guy for the business

Leaving Gude the invisible to focus on his golf handicap

Out of curiosity does the fan ownership have enough share rights to put in a vote of no confidence?

Andy Coleman's plans for christmas to his family !!!!!!
Ive got it all under control I have been forward planning for months and I know what everyone would like so i have been scouting for presents as I don't want to repeat last christmas, so this christmas i am going to be pro active in making sure that you get what you want.
Look, i know its dec to 20th and i havnt bought any presents yet buy i have seen them and the shop keeper has promised to sell them to me.
Look, I know it's dec 24th and its the last day to buy the presents that i had lined up for you all since the begining of the dec window, but unfortunately all those presents are gone and the shop keeper has broken his promise because i wanted to stagger payments until next dec. However the shop keeper had a few presents that nobody else wanted and said he would loan them to me.
However, I did buy a really expensive present but i cant have it for 6 months as after buying it he said it would remain in his shop as a display item.
Look, unfortunately all the items on my shopping list have gone and its far to late now at 11pm to get any presents at all. But next year i promise that i will have learnt from my mistakes and get your presents really early to avoid this happening again.

As if today couldn't get any worse.

There's incompetence but it's going to a higher level

What planet are they on, even a single minded ego driven person must face reality sometime

I think both hands and a funnel come to mind when fan ownership is mentioned
I mean it does also require a fan ownership board member who doesn't bend over and drops his trousers as soon as Coleman walks into the room admittedly

Those shares are controlled by the Trust. The lapdog Tust board. The people who received a mandate from the membership to take legal action and who then shafted the members by refusing to do so.
They’re more likely to put forward a motion of full support for Andy Coleman than rock the boat.

They're still blinded by Andy's stories of how he became a millionaire probably
