Not Swans related, but both Wet Spam and Paquetta himself lost earnings to the tune of tens of millions of pounds after his move to Man City collapsed when the FA announced they were charging him with spot fixing offenses.

Pretty flimsy evidence was used and the basis of it seems to come from betting information derived from their own ethics officer which hardly made him impartial.

Match fixers and cheats deserve everything that comes at them, but at the same time flimsy cases like this which ruined a player's dream move and potentially their entire career surely also have to be punished just as severely.

It does seem like they had a very flimsy case with no compelling evidence, just putting 2+2 together and getting 5. If it was as weak a case as implied there, then yeah, f*ck 'em; sue the crap out of them.
