Swans sign Nathan Dyer from Southampton

Swansea City announced the capture on their official website this afternoon that they have secured his signature until the end of the season.
Dyer has spent the last three months on loan at Sheffield United but the Swans moved quickly after that loan ended last weekend with his last appearance against Charlton at Bramall Lane.
The Wikiperdia write up on Dyer says “Dyer was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, and joined the Southampton FC Academy as a teenager. He was a member of Southampton’s youth team that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup in 2005, losing on aggregate to Ipswich Town.
In late 2005 he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Burnley, where he scored two goals in five appearances before being recalled. On 24 July 2008, after a long time of uncertainty, he signed a new three year deal at Southampton, keeping him there until 2011. In September 2008 he joined Sheffield United on loan until December, with the option of a permament deal in January 2009. The move was part of a loan swap deal, with Jordan Robertson joining Southampton for the same duration.
Dyer made his first appearance for the Blades the next day, as a late substitute in a 2-1 victory over Watford. He was unable to break into the team however and notched up less than thirty minutes in a Blades shirt over the next three months. He did not make a first team start until 20 December, repaying his selection by scoring his first goal for the club in a 2–2 draw with Palace.”
