• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

On the subject of Welsh Beaches, I had a job down at St David's in the week and Sat Nav sent back past Newgale Beach, what a fantastic beach that is, I just had to stop and view it in all its glory, the view from the car park is a tad spoilt now because of the new sea defence, but its a great view from on top of said see defence, we have some outstanding beaches in Wales, if we could only guarantee the weather.

Newgale is a hidden gem. Lovely campsite, pub right next to it and an excellent surf beach. Good bass fishing too.

Have you tried Whitesands beach down St David's Max? Wonderful beach!
Used to work in the field on the right hand side of the car park regularly when I worked for Trinity House many moons ago.

True story, there was a guy who worked the car park taking the money, I said to the lads "that guy reminds me of someone" anyway as the day was getting on we were on a brake, the guy walks over and says "where you boys from", Swansea I say, to which he replies "Ahh my brother played for Swansea City and Wales, you probably heard of him, Leighton James" ... honest to fuk

A respite nurse who calls here, got a Caravan down that way and her and her Husband loves fishing and do well on the bass in there, there abouts Stackpole a bit further up the coast is a favourite, but yest Newgale does look like a very decent venue for Bass
