It's coming along, they shut the bit between Cefn Coed and Dowlais Top today either that or there was some disruption there stopping flow of Traffic, had work up at Abertillery and Pontypool today and Sat Nav sent me up the M4 to direct me to Abertillery took bastard ages, came back on A465 but Sat Nav directed me down through Merthyr from Dowlais top it wasn't to bad Hirwaun to Cefn Coed shouldn't be to much longer, plenty to do between Cefn Coed and Dowlais though.

Be a cracking road when it's all finished, providing they don't put those average bastard speed cameras there restricted to 50mph.

My days of going to JLR once a week are long gone, so not been up HoV in years. Might go for a Sunday spin and see what it’s like these days.

I nearly killed someone up near Merthyr twenty odd years ago when they decided to run in front of me and bolt across the three lanes. I wonder where the c*** is these days.

I remember my dad telling me that when they built the three lanes they called it one lane to come in, one lane to go in, and one lane to die in.

It really is a massive step forward in safety and journey times provided its national speed limit. There's no need for the 50 limits on high safety spec dual carriageways when single track Unclassified roads are 60mph.

It's a legacy of Drakeford, Waters and Greta.

Wales needs to be open to business and open for business so we need to step up and speed up.

A new M4 and tidal barrage is badly needed too - travelling through Newport is soul destroying and puts investors off.

I've just opened a new base near the M4/M5 interchange for my Bristol business because servicing it from Monmouthshire became a losing lottery.

Can’t be arsed yo look for the 20mph thread so I’ll put it in here.

One of the many excuses for not doing 20 was that supposedly cars would struggle to do it, not good for engines etc. anyway, don’t know why I hadn’t tried it prior to yesterday but I found myself on a long 20mph stretch, so thought I’d see what the mpg was like going at that speed. Prior to entering it I was at 40 something mpg. I got to the end of the 20 stretch and I was running at 52mpg and was still rising. Make of that what you will as they say.

Probably not still shagging Joe Calzaghe's missus anymore that's for sure...
