• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Is that a Les Dawson? Sounds like one of his.

I believe it was.👍

Actually, a quick Google search credits it to Scottish comedian, Chick Murray, who died in 1985 and quotes as one of his most notable jokes "My girlfriend’s a redhead; No hair, just a red head" so it's been around a while. I'm pretty sure I heard Dawson say it though. Thanks for recycling it

Turkish Kitchen on High Street is very nice

You must be kidding, yeah ?

I had a green tea - it looked liked kryptonite and no doubt nuclear.

An establishment of dubious purposes, apparently. Dodgy as heck, in so many ways.

That information is out of date AndyCole, they pulled their socks up and now have the highest rating.

Personally I don't go into a takeaway that doesn't display it's food hygiene rating, but am happy to use any with a rating of 3 or higher.

My night ended early with my head down the toilet bowl. I've never been able to handle my drink

Ooops!

Just ordered from this new Wagamama style place in Aberdare called Daddy's Dim Sum. It is deliveroo only a present. Had Spicy King Prawn Udon which thankfully my dysphagia let me eat and my god I enjoyed. Biggest meal I have had in months. Better than Wagamama and slightly cheaper too.

Look out for the name as it might come to Swansea too, Bristol based (I think) who are running little franchises around the country.

Vietnam in Uplands serve a good meal - but never had a takeaway from there. I'm reliably informed they're on Deliveroo.
