Michael Collins was “The Forgotten Man” during the Apollo 11 lunar landing, while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were walking on the moon.

RIP

It takes massive cojones to strap yourself to the top of a gigantic explosive device, get hurtled into space, 385000km away from home, rely on a few bits of 1960s technology to keep you alive and get you back safely. And he didn't even get the glory of walking on the moon. Just did his job.
RIP. Hero.

Amazing bravery, the Saturn 5 is about 100 yards tall, filled with 5 tonnes of fuel and the size of a semi-detached house at its base, you sit in a space the size of a dining table on top of all that!

RIP
