• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I appreciate they got the kind of start-up money not accessible to the average Joe, but they've still made a huge success of it.

Would have been easy to live a cushy life on Daddy's money. Instead they've taken an idea and done a very good job marketing it and turned that initial investment into something significantly bigger. Fair play to the pair of them.

Charlie has obviously inherited his mother's brains and his dad's cash.

Indeed, they’ve done a great job. On the face of it it’s all quite simple; a flashy bottle and clever name…exploiting YouTube/instagram stars to influence the ‘kids’…but they’ve managed to pull it together so, so well.

When I was a nipper in the 80's, I think the toy adverts that were on between kid's TV programmes were probably the thing that influenced me most in what I then asked for from my parents.

Now I think it's social media/gaming influencers who have the biggest impact on the kids. Seems ridiculous to me, but then I probably seemed ridiculous to my parents begging for the latest bit of plastic tat they were flogging on TV.

I wish some major big boy firm would take Aldis to the cleaners, over the blatant copying of more expensive brands..

I don't understand why they do it, there is no comparison with aldi products compared to branded (although the oxtail soup isn't bad).

I would not be at all surprised, if they plummeted down the most popular retailers list, because apart from the parroted ' would you like a receipt?, cash or card? The magnum washing up liquid has gone to the dogs, used to be pretty good, now you have to squirt a shed full to get any suds, I said to the missis, this is staying on the ferking shelf from now on, gone right down the pan in my reckoning, I would rate Farm Foods a better shop. And don't start me on the chiller cabinet.

Try controlling the sales of the Prime drink when that product had youngsters going ballistic getting it .

Myself and colleagues had to appeal and ask the customers , it is a marketing con , tried to tell them , £10 for a bottle of juice onsale in some places , awful , they were happy to pay it though , then stuck the picture ot the bottle on Social Media .

Shelves are now fully stacked with this drink , nobody wants it any more , great , we now have gallons of it backstage .

Not a Scotch / Whiskey drinker , hate the stuff , nice to see Penderyn trying to revitalise the area by the Tawe .

That Prime drink, IMO even now is overpriced, what is it 2 quid? I'm no great fan of energy drinks, I think I maybe tried Monster drink once.. Prime ferk that, I know asda, tesco and the like were charging 2 quid, local shops by me £3.50.. ha ha ha.
