• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

My old place used to supply us with swarfega hand wash and Lifeboy blocks of soap as a basic .

Carbolic soap , whatever that means but the smell will live with me forever .

Forget Dove and new genaration hand cleansers to make your hands soft , tele ads thrive on it .

My hands and skin coverings are still working as well as they were before fancy PR.

I never cared one way or the other about them but my wife didn't like them so we never had any, said they were unhygienic, especially shared ones and made a mess around the washbasins and showers but she always put a bar of Dove in the glovebox of each of our cars, just in case.

Another product that boils my pish is shaving gel! What's the point of that! You squirt it into the palm of your hand, then spent the next 30 seconds lathering it into a foam! Why not just buy shaving foam and save yourself the effort 🤷‍♂️

Just in case of what?

I keep a packet of baby wipes in the boot just in case of any eventuality 😉

Years ago on a trip from college I went to a place in London called Knights bone and fat recycling plant where they boiled down the carcasses of dead animals ( cows sheep cats dogs etc ) to make tallow used in the manufactor of soap amongst other thing the pile we saw was as high as a two story house and the smell made me leave the building, totally gross.

That makes sense now why you can buy vegan soap - didn't realise that Tallow was used in soap.

I dont mind the gel to be fair, but fvck in ell, cant they sort out the pressure in the cans, everyone I've ever bought, it looses pressure after a few applications, either that or they seep all over the place when your not looking, kin useless. Anyway I nick the missus one now anyway ( no she hasn't got a tash), same shite except it's got a girly sniff to it.😂👍
