• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Yesterday channel "Abandoned Engineering" is an interesting watch.

Also Great British Railway Journeys hosted by Michael Portillo, great viewing.

Any recommendations lads...

That's TV 1 & 2 run old TV series, particularly comedy, some of which are worth watching.
I noticed they were running League of Gentlemen the other day, but it seemed to be a recent series which I didn't know existed, with lots of updated scenarios.

I don't watch a lot of TV but I've loved watching Abandoned Engineering since it started in 2016 and occasionally catch up with a few episodes I missed on UKTV Play. Some extraordinary and fascinating things just lying around or hidden away on this planet! I've even visited a few of them when I've been travelling in the area, most recently the Rajamaki flak towers in Finland when I was there last May literally just a few hundred metres off my route back to Helsinki airport. What is freeview? Have you got to have a specific box for that or can i get it on Virgin Media?

On BBC player I recently watched an episode of Storyville titled "Our Dad the Nazi Killer".

We'll all have heard our fill of Nazi atrocities but this has some really revealing angles on what unfolded post-war. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
