It’s difficult enough now to park and Mumbles Road will be on standstill.

Yep, I usually go round the back of it all, if its busy. There's always a way, but parking can be a major bug bear.
This. Well said JF.Jackfath said:People always jump to "where are we going to park the car" when new developments are seen. How about we actively choose to have less cars in small villages like Mumbles?
Improve the bus service and provide regular and decent links from out of town car parks. Subsidise them.
Suddenly you have more space in which to develop better things than a car park.

I’m totally with you here. I live in the area and know first hand the parking situation is terrible.
I was commenting on the fact that if all the extra people were coming into Mumbles, then the parking would be so much more of a problem. I’m thinking that even if there was an improved bus service, people (visitors) wouldn’t use it anyway.
I’m definitely in favour of less vehicles in Mumbles, have you seen the traffic heading in and out during the summer?
Please don’t get me wrong, I know that I’m fortunate enough to live in the area, I’m not complaining about better facilities there, but there is going to be a new hotel where the Tivoli was, are people expected to get buses to stay there?
It’s a more difficult situation than just saying put more buses on.

I'd suggest a hotel parking only car park. Charge high fees for all other car parks. Make the park and ride free and ensure there is a regular, reliable service.

Maybe I could rent out my driveway by the hour for parking. .
